Despite Owl House being cut short, I still think they did a FANTASTIC job with what short time they had left! It’s heartbreaking to viewers and the show staff when company cuts cause a loved show to end on a weak note.

Luz is too hard on herself. She forgives other people's mistakes but not her own. Her almost decision to stay in the human realm was a way of punishing herself or to ensure she didn't make any future mistakes that would endanger her friends. So glad Camila talked her out of it.

I cried so hard during this scene. I never knew how much I resonated with Luz's character until she said she just wanted to be understood and its something her mom helped her realize. And Camila apologizing and letting her know Luz is loved for who she is, is so beautiful and wholesome. I wish I had a mom/daughter relationship like this. Dana did an amazing job portraying the healthiness in this part. Cant wait for my TOH tatt <3

Señora Camila, I am speechless. You just had to let it all out right when your broken daughter needed it. Luz’s face just shows how much delight she feels after that conversation. I feel like any victim of abuse or ridicule would go to extreme measures in order for their children to avoid a similar scenario. Camila always loved her daughter’s quirky side, though she feared her daughter would not easily be accepted by her peers. As a result, Luz has little to no self-esteem, and Phillip/Belos uses that as a weapon against her. It took only a couple of months in the Boiling Isles for Luz to share her true self to her new companions, and her mother, who was completely absent and unaware thereof, immediately notices and admires how much her daughter has grown on her own, as well as the loving crew she has. Camila clearly knows that the Isles are where Luz belongs, and that staying in Gravesfield would only worsen her mental state. She wants her daughter not to succeed, but to live a joyous life wherever love finds her. Luz has made several mistakes and wrong moves over the course of the series, and, with the aid of her companions, she still prevails.

Sometimes a parent and their child should talk things through so they can understand each other. After seeing those two talking to each other they finally understood each other and it makes their love stronger. I love these moments between mother and daughter.
