I’m sure it’s because the machine was sitting on top of my cutting mat on this video. Sitting on solid surface should eliminate the added vibrations.

Very cool ! 😎 Is that "ruffle" attachment useable on different models ? Might have to invest in one. I have a couple different machines, one is a working antique, one is newer !
@houseofachotidesign31744 ай бұрын
Yes, I know that it’s interchangeable on some of the Vintage Singer machines but not certain about newer models.

I thought you couldn’t sew over a bobby pin
@houseofachotidesign31745 ай бұрын
Hi! You SHOULDN’T sew over the pins to avoid breaking your needle. Some machines are heavy duty and you could get away with it on a slower speed. I wouldn’t make a habit of it to preserve your needle and machine function!😊. It’s was easier to keep sewing while making this video . Thanks for watching!!!

Great, thank you. My son's jacket got the faux leather sleeves ripped, and I needed to replace them. This gives me an idea on how to do it. I like the music too. My dad's favorite Frank song. :)

Im trying to decide what size to cut out. I m afraid it might be tight in the waist if I cut my bust size 16...how does it run in sizing ?
@houseofachotidesign31748 ай бұрын
It runs a big big. You really have to choose the correct bust size for the jacket to fit nicely. The Princess seams will make it a bit easier for alterations on the top. The waist however, may need pattern adjustments to another size.😊

What type of hoop are you using? I have the same machine.
@houseofachotidesign31748 ай бұрын
It’s the Durkee easy frame. They fit the PRS 100, just remember to always check first with the stitch alignment feature before the actual embroidery . These hoops aren’t “ Brother”!😊

Thank you so much for posting this video, I am about to try the same pattern! I love the material you used, the pattern is so beautiful. Can I ask how many hours it took you to make the muslin and then to make the final piece? Thanks!
@houseofachotidesign3174 Жыл бұрын
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for watching the video. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It took me about 3-4 hours to make the muslin and 4 hours for final garment. The fabric was a great find at a quaint little fabric shop in Philadelphia. ☺️ Happy sewing!

I took mine off the legs and cleaned up the metal, mine is brown too it’s like a powder coating on it
@houseofachotidesign3174 Жыл бұрын
The brown sometimes has spots of rust mixed in which makes it difficult to tell if it’s the original . The Corroseal primer will turn the rust black. Due to the spotty surface, I decided to use a black metal spray paint for a final coating.
@ryndl Жыл бұрын
I have the same machine. The metal parts of the treadle were originally painted brown. It is close to the color of rust. The areas that are not turning black are still covered by paint. That is why you are getting uneven results
@houseofachotidesign3174 Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the info! Mine had various rust , but sporadic rust spots.I decided to repaint all of the bottom metal base black. It should be shown in another video on my channel too!

Nice. Are you going to record the machine restoration? (Hint: When you edit your videos limit the volume of loud tools.)
@houseofachotidesign3174 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! This machine was in decent shape. Most of the metal parts cleaned up well with sewing machine oil and simple polishing. I only had to replace a couple of parts. I have another video on the channel showing the cleaning process. Thanks for the feedback about the noise of power tools.
