I just installed a honeywell t5 smart thermostat today. The old thermostat only had 4 wires (no C wire), so I ran new wiring through the wall with the C wire included. I hooked everything up to the furnace properly, and the thermostat is not turning on at all. It is just on a blank screen. I tested everything. Door switch, and transformer are at 124 volts and all low voltage wires are at 26 volts. I have no idea what to do next.

I’m not familiar with the pixel phones, but I’ve just literally bought a Canon RA full frame camera to use for making Vlogs when I can manage to take a big camera on with me i’ve primarily used an old Cannan M3 my iPhone 12 and an Osmo action the past six years so treating myself on Black Friday to a new full frame camera. I’m not a big fan of electronic intervention with it being photos or video to be honest, I would like to see it though take care Adam.

I saw the R8 in your last vid! Looks nice! Yep, I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to intervention. The Pixel features looked great, especially the "night sight" feature, but I'm not for it if it makes things more complicated. Looking forward to more of your vids on that full frame Canon!

Nice review. I found Cotapaxi a couple years ago. They have an option for their bags where they use scrap material to make your bag so it’s completely randomized. I went with that and it’s wild in color.

@ no. It says you can tell them how to customize it but there’s no drop down menus or anything like that. Me and the wife are suckers for a mystery something. The IKEA in Atlanta does mystery bag full of returns, we get one every time😂

@@AutismTwinsUs we actually dipped into the mid-40s early this week, but ramped up to 86 Fahrenheit today. My fitness habit went off this weekend, I slept pretty hard! 😂 I lost my grandparents on my dad’s side early due to bad health, so just trying to stay ahead of it! Good to hear from you Adam. Quick facts since people think c is needed The only ones that require a c wire is if the thermostat doesn’t have an internal battery power… c is common to ground the only reason a nest doesn’t need a c wire is cause it has an internal battery and a way to recharge which is behind the nest with a micro usb. Unlike sensi thermostats they require a c wire because there’s no internal battery in the thermostat…

Hi I just got my first one out old one had batteries too I installed it but when I did the test the heater just clicks and the ac turns on and off back to back idk what to do and I have my c wire in and it has an orange blinking light idk if that’s normal

No c wire will ruin your furnace if an hvac tech and idk but these nest go crazy out of nowhere and cause crazy behavior on the system because it starts to pull power from anywhere in your furnace board

You need a hot wire and neutral to run something. That’s using batteries in most thermostats. But you need more power to run this thermostat so instead of using two 1.5 DC volt batteries you use the R for hot and the C for your neutral to power the thermostat. If you didn’t want the set back features you wouldn’t need any power. Old thermostats used mercury switches. Now they use bi-metals.

I never thought about Halloween not being a big deal in the UK, but I love learning that kind of information. Do you guys have an autumn/fall holiday that is big during October/November? In the states, that start selling Halloween stuff at the stores in mid-August even though we don’t hit Halloween until October 31. Then it’s Thanksgiving during November, and Christmas in December, but our stores are already selling Christmas decorations! Good to hear from you, hope the fam is doing great!

The C wire has absolutely nothing to do with the air conditioning, the air conditioning compressor is controlled by the Y wire in the blower motor is controlled by the G wire. The blue C wire is a generic common ground just there to let your thermostat power off of the Rh or Rc wire.

I don’t understand this thermostat. I have red white and blue wires. Blue being labeled C. When I hook everything up nothing works. When I unplug it from the dock the thermostat will turn on. Put it back on the wall it shuts off and does nothing.

I need help. I think I have the C wire,I connected everything perfectly 👌, but I am still getting hot 🔥 🥵 air instead of cold. I removed it,installed the old one, the same way, and cold 🥶 air is working perfectly. What do I miss? Using the Amazon thermostat. Help

You have to go to the furnace area and see how the wires are hooked up, just because the wire is the right color doesn't mean it's hooked up the right way, it sounds like your yellow wire and white wire are not connected properly at the furnace control board.
