I had the same issue in my farm house so 1. i got 2 kittens from village and since like you we visit our farm only sometimes hence asked my guard there to feed the kittens daily. Now both the kittens are big cats and I do not have a single mouse in my farm. I also carry big bag of cat food from pet shop which lasts me 3-4 months so that cats stay there permanently 😂. 2. Straw mulching gives warmth to rats during winters. Winter time rats try to come into the house and in your case, straw mulch provided that warmth. 3. You should remove the mulch and also mango planted in ground do not need a lot of water specially when it’s a grown tree ( I have a mango orchard too). 4. If rats are not controlled, snakes would be the next issue….

hdpe blue drum ko half cut karke ....bottom mai half inch holes banaye...phir ye half drum ko aadha soil mai daba de or isi drum mai khaad mitti milaker plant laga dain... 1-2 years mai roots holes se hokar neeche earth mai chali jaayegi....agar chuhe try bhi kare to drum ke ander enter nahi ker paayengai ...or main roots safe hone ki wajah se plant nahi marega....or haan over watering bhi nahi hogi iss system mai 😊😊😊
