I love the idea of mentor couples. I believe the couples will help each other. By helping new couples the more experienced couples marriage will be strengthened. I love the idea of being connected to the parish through other couples.

Whenever any religious men talk about marriage they need to also that there are situations that a woman's life can be in danger if partner is mad or violent DV. So balance it out with being too heavenly and not having one's feet in reality. Be great if marriages all worked out but that just is not real life. Moses asked for Divorce in O/T. Yes, remember that Adam and Eve fell into sin, so we are not perfect.

Great interview. The Holy Spirit gave Simon the knowledge of who Jesus is. That is why he was named Peter the rock. The Chosen is the best Christian show that I have ever seen. I have come closer to God through this show. God bless each person that is in the show and crew. Great acting.

What ever is convenient at a particular place and time The Revalation through History doctrine allows teaching to change without any uncomfortable issues with passed religious leaders. One moment the Vatican undertakes capital punishment - 1840s was the last and the next you don't have excommunicate the President of France in 1970s. We can or can not accept medical termination of pregnancy - that is a vexed issue. We have the don't ask don't tell about marrying divorced parishioners. In the Cold War Western nuclear deterrence is a necessary evil, then we don't like USN nuclear submarines being called the Body of Christ. IVF emerges so we need a policy on that. We can have married priests then we can't. That the majority of parishioners wouldn't know a Trinity if they fell over it. The parishioners don't even know the Bible has 80 or 81 books if we include Enoch. And we can just change the interpretation of the inconvenient bits of the Bible ... The first line saying In [a] beginning is best avoided. Who knows what Bishops will teach in any given week - doesn't matter as we parishioners just ignore what they say.

I do not believe Christ resurrected Lazarus. Resurrection is eternal. Lazarus was called back from the dead. He later died. But Christ is the first fruits of the Resurrection. Not Lazurus.

the bible roundtable after each episode includes a Rabbi who explained that Jews in the 1st century understood that when we die the soul hangs around for 3 days by the 4th day there would be no doubt that Lazarus would be dead - further sealing the miracle of raising from the dead not waking him from sleep or a mistaken death he could wake from

Very good point, Archbishop Smith, about both the Apostles and Jesus being "the Chosen ones," going back and forth. Thank you.

One reason Christ doesn't rush to Lazarus is because He's that far away (three days journey i believe) that He wouldn't have arrived before Lazurus's death anyway.

The problem I have is they deviate from the Bible enough to confuse people who don’t read it. I had people say. I didn’t know Veronica was the Lady that hemorrhaged for seven years. I said that’s because the Bible doesn’t say that. I didn’t know that Mary gave birth to other Children. That’s because there are no words for relatives. In Hebrew and Aramaic they all were called brothers and sisters. Mary remained a virgin. The men said to be the brothers of JESUS, were named as Son’s of others, in the other gospels. Mother Mary was given over to John’s care at the cross, because She had no other Children. I say, stay away from the confusion. There are movies Like The Gospel of John, that fallow the Bible word for word.

It's so lame how so-called Catholics are obsessed with this show. It's so bad. It is 100% Protestant. Why would Catholics use Proteatant religious fiction for evangelization? I couldn't watch any further after we saw an episode in which Peter and his wife were talking about starting a family. That is 100% secular Protestant mi diet about marriage and family. My wife and I laughed so hard after that scene and turned it off. Peter and his wife would not have discussed like 21st century decadent Americans about when to start a family. Not having children was a curse then. I am surprised they made it a month without his wife being pregnant. The satanic Islamic hordes are better on this issue than modern Catholics. So lame Catholics watch this tripe

In the Chosen, when the Lord changed water into wine, why did they have Jesus remove everyone from the room? This is not in the Scriptures and has no value, only if they are trying to create doubt in the actual miracle that took place. There was no actual benefit to the story by having everyone leave when He performed the miracle.

I wish that The Chosen includes The Annunciation with Saint Gabriel Arcángel announcing the that She was full of Grace and was Chosen since The Beginning to be The Mother of Christ! Then The Inmaculate Conception, then Her eternal Virginity. Also her Assumption and her being co- redemptrix. Who does God love more than His Mother? ♥️🙏♥️

Im a catholic watching the series.. we know it's a story line, I know it isn't the Bible but it gives u a better idea or have a mental picture of what one reads the Bible. Jesus was a real person with emotions at the same time God working miracles. Proclaiming the kingdom of God.

Oh. My Gosh! This Priest is more worried about spoiler alerts rather than the lies of this show! Dallas Jenkins said on video that all seasons DO NOT contain or follow Scripture! He also said that he doesn't mind being called a blasphemer! He claims that they want to portray THE REAL JESUS. Really? How is the REAL Jesus to be portrayed by MORMONS?! This entire production is MORMON MADE! Yhey dont believe that Jesus is the Son of God! They believe thst eventually they will beckme Gods themselves! Read ppl, dig, you sre being deceived with the false portraya. Also...Follow the $ money ppl. You are being lied to! Satan is so sly. I absolutely denounce this show. It's demon made.

The 3 days is a Jewish tradition that says that it takes three days for the soul to completely leave the body. Lazarus had to be really dead for the full effect of the resurrection in the Jewish context. Jesus himself was three days in the grave before he was resurrected! It’s important not to lose tract of the Jewishness of Jesus in context.

I see Jesus showing us to let go of human resources, and trust in Divine Providence, in order to become stronger and wiser and detached… He came to us as a poor Messiah to teach us that The Kingdom of God is spiritual and things, health, etc. have no bearing on Heaven and earning sanctity. ♥️🙏♥️

Jesús didn’t go for Lazarus because He wanted for his disciples to know that He is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Similar but a bit different was with John the Baptist, He was called to go, but He didn’t go, cause John had accomplished his mission and the disciples had to see what you sometimes have to do to follow Jesus, especially in the Apostles case because they were going to be martyred except John.

I have a problem with praying to Mary. Where in the bible does it say to do that? Yes, she was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. That is huge. But others are also used by God. I pray to God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Mary is the most powerful intercessor. When Mary goes to Jesus, like the wedding at Cana, He does what she asks. Think about that. Mary was the only human born without sin.

I believe in eternal life, therefore I am able to soulfully pray with the church triumphant, the church repentant, and the church members still here on earth, the church militant, worshiping our Creator. Sometimes I ask my closest friends to pray for me. Do you ever do that?
