Did tightening those corners keep the water from coming in moving forward?
@mitchelldoolan9618 ай бұрын
That is the boot lid stop they are not meant to be tight because it is adjustable. Winding this in or out will change where the boot stops and thus the panel gaps. It being loose should have no affect on the it leaking as it does not seal anything and what actually seals is the stuf the stop screws onto, thats what you should be checking. Also that little box isnt the ecu its the electronic park brake control module. Notice it says epb before ecu that stands for electronic park brake

I had a similar issue with my old BMW. They replaced the hood cable and the grommet in the fire wall wasn’t put back correctly. My interior was soaked every time it rained. By the time I found it, I had all type of electrical issues and my power seats were done. I basically gave the car away. So good luck with yours, it sounds like they caught it in time….

Looks like you pulled 2 litres at best… if the engine oil was hot it would have drained a lot easier / quicker

I had it running for about 5 minutes but you’re right it was cold that day. Should have gotten it warmer. It was my first time using it but it won’t be my last. I really do love it just need to get the hang of it. Thank you. If it interests you I have a key cutting video coming where I’ll be cutting my Acura and Audi keys and also program the Acura key with my OBDProg if it interests you. I saw the Civic in ur name Acura/Honda keys are the same. IJS….

So thought id give an insight to my leak i had water in rear footwell audi a5 b9, the audi technicians found that the grommet under the bonnet that is close to the bonnet cable was dislodged, they have now put that back in place so hopefully the car stays dry now.

I was wondering where the RED and BLACK hooked up in the main switch panel box, I see you put the RED wire on 1 half of the 30 amp circuit switch and the BLACK on the other half of the 30 amp circuit breaker switch. white on the neutral strip and the green on gnd strip. thank you. JIM in Michigan

Sorry I’m taking long to answer but I have it in the video. Red and black go int the breaker don’t matter what side and the rest you already know. It’s real simple I hope that you have it done by now. Sorry I took long to answer I have been going through some health issues and haven’t been doing much as of late. Sorry again..

2010 a5 2.0 tsfi, uses 1 1/4 qt / 1000miles. no misfires, pcv valve diaphragm has no rips. from what i have read, it is the piston rings that are weak. i dont mind having to put in extra oil, but that extra oil consumption can damage the catalytic converter. i suppose that upgrading the pcv to the newest model (it has a white translucent part) might be worth it.

I did the switch and it still happening, what happend to yours?
@nolynoe57964 жыл бұрын
I just put Lucas and sea foam through the spark plug holes on my friends Audi. Your piston rings have to be stuck and hopefully that would work. There’s a procedure to clean your piston rings. Hope for the best if not u may have to rebuild ur engine or swap it out.. find videos how to do it before you do it.

Bruv my cars doing the same thing
@nolynoe57964 жыл бұрын
It’s either what I did or your piston rings are sticking. Try flushing your pistons with sea foam or Lucas. There are videos on it. I’m gonna be making a video on it shortly with the push to start like on this car.

Is your commute better now? No oil consumption?
@nolynoe57964 жыл бұрын
It’s a lot better about one qt every 700 miles but after I flushed my piston rings it’s about 1 qt every 1200 miles. I recommend both.

Definitely sounds about right. Not only for your model but also the A4 Quattro 2.0.
@nolynoe57964 жыл бұрын
Try flushing your piston rings and pray it works. That’s another issue these cars have. There are videos showing how. Sea foam or Lucas but I prefer the Lucas.

Also try a piston flush. These cars also have issues with the piston rings. I stay on top of mines every so often.
