I love your videos! I bought an RP camera with RF 35mm and 85mm lenses last year for photography, but after watching your amazing viseos, I started shooting videos. Last month, I purchased an R8 camera with an RF 16mm to shoot 4K videos.

Amazing footage !!! I used to film some commercial stuff with 15 last year and in my opinion iPhones are unpleasantly sharp. I always reduced the sharpness by adding a little bit blur. With proper color correction you cannot say that the footage is not coming from cinema camera, especially if you use a tripod.

i knew it..before iphone 15 pro and 16 pro... it was very cringey to watch cinematic videos on iphone pre iphone 15 pro because i could still tell that its a phone video because all the videos would be crushed due to ios video oversharpening/tonemapping/hdr etc...the noisy snow pattern,water foam/bubble and leafs can give it away usually... i think whats left for smartphone for the surface level "cinematic" to be same is the bokeh...

The solution is simple yet super difficult to achieve. One day, a manufacturer will put a descent size sensor on a phone and the long debate will be over. Not sure what the tech will be called but a possible curved sensor is gonna change everything about phone filmmaking.

The anamorphic look is still okay for PC and TV, but for smartphones and iPads, in my opinion, anamorphic just looks terrible. Apart from the narrow image look, a great video.

@@Peter-Dirks Thanks a lot for watching! I am not sure what I can do with this kind of feedback but yeah, iPhones and iPads are not designed for 2.35:1 aspect ratio. It is how I vision and compose my shots. It is like telling a musician, “hey the sound coming from my speakers do not have good low end. Your mix sounds terrible listening on my iPad. Other than that the songs are good”. I do not want to sound negative though. I really appreciate you watching and sharing your opinion. Thanks again! I might make video using a different aspect ratio one day if I really feel like it.

Guzel sozleriniz icin cok cok tesekkurler. KZbin'da izleyip ilham aldigim bir kanal yok malesef. Genel olarak en cok filmlerden etkileniyorum. Bana en cok ilham veren yonetmenler, Terrence Malick, Michelangelo Antonioni ve Andrei Tarkovsky. Bazen sadece 3 dakika Tarkovsky izlemek beni haftalarca etkisine sokabiliyor. Onun disinda, goruntu yonetmeni olarak Roger Deakins ve Emmanuel Lubezki'nin calistigi her filmi tavsiye edebilirim. Tekrar cok tesekkurler!

Hey thank you so much! That particular shot is one of my favorites! I was super sleepy just woken up for sunrise set the camera up and stood still for a couple minutes. I had 0 hope that I got the shot until I checked the footage home :)

Man, I need to sell my camera I don't know how to use and just use my iphone. It's sad, but what is sadder is people and me missing out on content because I don't know how to use my XS20.

Hey man XS20 is a great camera! Even using Auto Mode should be ok for most scenes. I think people focus a lot on the camera and forget about the light and composition. I really would recommend having the camera on auto on all settings and start making videos. After sometime you will figure out what works out and what doesn't. And it will be so natural to make videos eventually. Trust me I had 0 idea about filmmaking when I got my first digital camera.

Hey thanks a lot! I use RSMB for motion blur. Really cool Davinci Resolve Plug-in. I haven't changed much on app setting in Moment. Apple Log, ProRes (Not HQ), 24P, Manual white balance and exposure

Great shooting skills man 🫡 By the way is there any mode of cinematic mode in which we can record portrait video in 60 fps I heard there is 4k 30 fps so can it record 1080p 60 fps ??

Hey thanks! I believe Cinematic/Portrait mode is limited to 30 fps in both 4K and HD. Since you can't use Apple Log in that mode I don't use it
