The phrase "yaa tendint" (toward the city) uses the postposition -nt to indicate direction. Similarly, "yaa dḍśaa" (toward the village) uses the postposition -aa for the same purpose. The noun precedes the postposition. As mentioned above, postpositions follow the noun they refer to, as in "yaa tendint" (toward the city) and "yaa dḍśaa" (toward the village). Question words come at the beginning of the sentence. The interrogative sentences "min ttett waryaz?" (what does the man eat?) and "wi issnennaan ayrum?"
