You could’ve had heated on side of the pvc pipe to make it soft to bend and wouldn’t have had to use anymore fittings other than the 2 thread ones. And the pipe would have also lean more straight against the wall.

How often does a ball valve need to be replaced, could have done entire job with just the valve and the 2 male adapters. Then if the valve fails 10 yrs from now, cut 1 side, unscrew the old valve, screw on the new valve and fix with a glue coupling. Save the $15 on unions.

Why would you ever have to replace the gate valve though...it should never break/leak.

Will the tube strong enough after you thinned the tube. And for the second one the stick area appear to be a bit small. But it may work I just don't know
