I love how this game wasn't even the saddest. It was kinda sad, but it absolutely didn't prepare us for unwound future. That one was the final boss of sadness

I played this gane when i was 11 cause i like the art style now my mom back then helped me with a good majority of the puzzles but i got through the end of the game on my own but the moment luke solves the box and see the letter i felt my heart race hearing anton realize it was sophias letter to him and as i heard sophias words and the music box theme i actually started crying a little but this ending is so beautiful and bitter sweet even as an adult this ending is hitting harder especially after losing some family members snd my dog but just knowing one day i can be with them later on hits close to home

The moon chapter for the European version wasn’t going to be on the planet shown at the end of this cutscene, it was going to be a prequel to the game before chapter 1 and the setting would be a moon that orbited the original WoG planet, and would get destroyed by WogCorp before the events of wog1

World of Goo 2 just did the unthinkable. GOO SURVIVED Yes… This is not the end for our goo ball friends! If you play World of Goo 2 and get to the final level in Chapter 5, A New World, the final cutscene has the Distant Observer spreading Goo to other planets and starting whole new worlds of goo. Its a really wholesome ending as opposed to WoG1’s where it’s dark asf.

I assume it takes at least 7 years and 2 weeks for the curse to kill you. It can be a little longer than that but if your adventure is over 2 weeks long you die after defeating Dracula. Is the good ending the canon one? Did Dracula pop out of the grave in 1792? He was brought back by humans during that time.

Glad my First ending was the Normal ending Actually, dramatically saying, it's the best ending. We have important character's death. We have Drama. Sadness And in the end, a good ending, really shows how tough the adventure was. And to be honest, not everything should be the best, the normal ending really shows what a Good History has to offer

Just watched the trailer. I can finally die peacefully knowing we have a sequel. So is the kid in the end his son, or was the sign painter a kid this whole time? *Or is the Little Inferno kid the sign painter, and that’s just a flashback?*

However, I don’t know if the diary entries in the game include any information on how Anton and Sophia first met each other and fell in love if they had a positive loving relationship with each other because from what I know they did and I’ve never read the diary entries really I was concentrated a lot on the puzzles and the story mainly than the mini games when I’ve played the game before in the past.

It would be interesting to hear how Anton and Sophia first met and I’m assuming I’m guessing that they both first met in Folsense or at Herzen Castle perhaps if Anton held a ballroom dance there or if Duke Herzen held a ballroom dance there and it’s not mentioned in the game whether Duke Herzen was married or not and his family history before then isn’t mentioned and talked about only that he was the father of his two sons Anton and Mr Beluga and I’m guessing that Anton and Sophia’s first meeting with each other could have been similar to the ballroom dance or maybe it was the same ballroom dance scene with Layton and Luke had when they were sleeping in the Castle and that could have been Anton and Sophia first meeting but then Layton and Luke somehow end up in that picture and in that memory from 50 years ago I think too.

I really feel it’s a shame that we never really get to see Sophia in the game apart from the short scene at the end of the game when she’s in heaven and the bit in the past when Sophia and Anton were talking about her leaving and that Anton thought that she had left him for another and it’s sad that she had passed away by time Anton had received the letter from her in the box and that he never got to see the love of his life again and that we don’t get to see Katia’s mother either and it’s a real shame that she died shortly after Katia was born but I like how there was the loving relationship with Sophia and her granddaughter and that Anton loves Katia too and it feels similar to a mother and daughter relationship with Sophia and Katia which is really adorable too to hear about from Sophia’s letter too and the fondness and love she had for Katia too though it’s sad that since Folsense became stuck and that time had really just stood still from 50 years ago at the time of Layton and Luke’s time at the time when the story in the game takes place and it seems that from 50 years ago Sophia had been searching for the box herself ever since then but I feel sorry very much for Anton because he had given the box to a traveller passing through town to deliver the box to Sophia many years ago and it must have been always a hope with Anton that Sophia would eventually find the box again and it would eventually be delivered to her from Anton but that by time Sophia received the box and the letter inside from him she was dying then and that she wrote it a short while before she passed away but by then when Anton received the letter she had passed.

I just finished the game recently on anbernic rg35 series it is a hell of stages 80 and the only reward your a good player. Im 34 years of age but still playing this kind of game and now im moving forward to crazy castle 2 and im loving it. 😅😊.

Kazuma, for me, is the worst character in this game, he wanted to have a cowardly attitude, he would simply abandon his sister to die on that island, strange how he feels no remorse.

I’m pretty sure the developers mixed up the text here. The first ending you if you take too long is all grey with no Simon, but the text is the happy ending. The second ending requires you to play better, the background is all bright and cheerful and Simon is clearly standing there and alive, but the text says he died, so from the text this is the “bad” ending even though you have to play better to get it. Between stuff like this and the unhelpful “hints” from the townsfolk, this game would have been much better if they spent just a little more doing some quality control on the translation to English.

It’s interesting taking a look at the game and how in a number of ways it did inspire the alternate Lords of Shadow Universe. The big one being how Dracula in Lords of Shadow is how the Belmonts began, along with Lords of Shadow Alucard being the father of Simon in that alternate universe
