Mel Gibson was a superstar and also a super bloke, I know this. I was working for a short time in a facilities house. He came over to England to do some voice overs. I passed him in the corridor. "Alright ?!" I said as we went by each other. The smile he gave me was a testament to how ordinary he regarded himsel and his relaxed relationship with folks in common. He returned the acknowledgement. A totally lovely bloke with no side whatsoever. It only takes a few seconds to tell if someone is genuine or not, I also experienced the same with Mick Jagger, different place and setting, similar encounter, another lovely bloke who is still with us.
