Thank you for making this video. I do appreciate this because I was just served with a restraining order for protection. I only weigh 100 pounds and he’s about 170 pounds and he called the police on me saying I threatened him which I did not, and I went to the police station and gave my report. I did this on my own because the police had to leave in a hurry because somebody had a gun so I walked down there and I gave a report but he decided to get a restraining order on me for protection a 209 a and yes, I do live with him. I don’t see this on the courts website at all this document number so I’m hoping he dropped it. I did try to call but they would not give me any information. I do know when he went into file a complaint. I read online. He had to do an affidavit and see the judge I can’t believe that he would lie on this, but apparently he did and I got a court date of November7 he did not get a 10 day restraining order. I don’t even know if you have to ask one or not but I got a thing in the mail saying I have to go to court but I can’t go cause I’m on disability and I can’t really walk, but I did call legal aid for helpbut honestly, I don’t wanna move out of the house. I’ve been here for 12 years.

Selective enforcement! This law allows cops to arrest you when they want to. If they find someone they dont like and can find a screwdiver on them, then they can arrest them even if the person has done nothing wrong. Selective enforcment is a horrible thing and should be illegal. If the defendant can prove the state fails to enforce a statute over 40% of the time, that statute should be null and void.

This law seems to be a VERY Dangerous 'tool' which VERY Likely CAN BE EASILY MISUSED by any cop against anyone they "feel" is "out-of-place" (THAT can be anyone) and many of us (even slightly associated with real estate) carry various tools to address the MANY things that need attention. [ex: You stop on roadside to check your directions, cop pulls-up asking you why you're parked in "this area" and clearly sees the collection of tools in your back seat or hatch, - BOOM! cops ASSUME you're a burglar, 'cause that's all they need to see is someone (they aren't familiar with) having (ANY) tools that "COULD" be used for burglary...] VERY DANGEROUS!!!

I accidentally forgot to pay a ticket and my license got suspended. 4 days later a state trooper stops me and tells my I got a suspended license. He also told me that if I pay the ticket, reinstate my license and appeal within 4 days (which I did immediately) I could get it removed right away. Unfortunately I haven’t received the letter in the mail for the hearing and it has been a month. I also want to apply for my gun license but I’m afraid I’ll get rejected for that offense. I’m a full time student and work 2 jobs too, one of them as a public safety officer. What is your suggestion for this issue?

The people at these courts in massachusetts go off of personal judgment and don't care about facts. I hate massachusetts and the probate court here is horrible.only the children suffer what a broken system.
