Megamind is my favourite Dreamworks movie and one of my top 10 movies ever, and this atrocious sequel is my least favourite movie even and I haven’t even seen it. I expected to feel some sort of visceral hatred towards that movie, but it just made my feel nothing.. idk what it is. Maybe the abundance of bad sequels and reboots has desensitised me or something

Ironically, Will Ferrel will be voicing the main villain in Despicable Me 4, Gru and Megamind are each other's most popular opponents in the VS Battle comunity, and the first Despicable Me and Megamind movies have the exact same summary developed in very similar ways. As for Megamind 2 itself, nah, not gonna watch it. The first movie already had a sequel with a direct-to-video short titled "Megamind: The Bottom of Doom". I remember watching it as a kid and had a nice time with it, and I only saw the original Megamind movie a few months ago. By the time I watched that short, I didn't even know the Megamind 2010 movie was a thing. Plus I already know much about Megamind 2's plot, so I know it isn't worth watching. Also, was that hard saying that the movie's events are the very first time Megamind ever meets the Doom Syndacate? I mean, he didn't have any prior knowledge of Hal before him getting superpowers and becoming Tighten, and that was purely by accident. Just do that again in a different way (so that it isn't copy-and-paste with Hal from the first movie) and you save your movie from a gigantic plot-hole.

I love the cgi animation in Initial D first stage but that show came out in 1998 and this 2024 movie somehow looks worse than that. Heck, it even looks worse than Hoodwinked, an infamously ugly yet awsome film which came out in 2005. And before you say this is tv show quality animation, literally almost every other DreamWorks TV show looks better and has far better animation, even better than Initial D first stage and Hoodwinked. HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE. Disclaimer i haven't seen every DreamWorks TV show, that's why I said almost.
