@3:35 idk why but that part was so creepy! The music suddenly stopping simultaneously as the vehicle comes to a stop. As it continues on to reveal a "deathy" looking street. Man I wouldn't feel safe in those streets. Death is right around the corner! 😮😮

Jameeka, you did a great job presenting your best places to eat for Myrtle Beach. Some of your favorites are my favorites too. P.S. Please accept this slight correction: You said “Grand Stand.” The term, however, is “Grand Strand.” 🙂

I am a 70 year old republican, conservative Christian white man. For about 7 years I lived on Beecher Street in West End, across from John A White park. I never really thought about it at the time, but I was probably the only white person living within a 5 mile radius of my house. I never felt out of place or at odds with my neighbors and fellow residents. Only once in all that time did anyone say anything negative to me, and it was as I was jogging around the park where the baseball fields are, right off Cascade Rd. Poor guy was there from another area apparently playing baseball and all he said was, "Hey man, you're in the wrong neighborhood aren't you?" I'm laughing now just remembering it, but I had to rescue him from the other neighbors, lol. I actually said, "He didn't mean anything by it." I live in an upscale area on a lake in South Carolina now, but those memories and acquaintances I cherish to this day. I didn't feel different from anyone else there. It just seemed natural. The house was an inheritance thing and it saved me the expense of living Iike a pack rat in an apartment. I had nice neighbors, a yard and a park, and life was good without wealth or worry. There's a sense of community one gets from living there. I eventually moved to Buckhead where the environment felt more pressured than West End. But I still feel like a part of that place, even though I've fallen out of touch with it over the years. I still have old friends I see occasionally from the Bluff, so shout out from Chip to Long Boy, Little Fat Boy, Larry, China-man, and all my brothers from back in the day. How 'bout you Marion, Leon & Sonny Williams of Williams Bros Grocery fame. I love you guys, and I have to get back to see y'all soon. I have so many business things happening but I gotta make time for memories too. I guess I might stick out like a sore thumb to some folks but my people know me. Oh yeah, a cop pulled me over the last time. He said outta state plates but y'all know the deal...... white dude in a black neighborhood! He wanted to search me so bad but when I asked to see his warrant he gave the "Have a nice day" send off. Now I know how some people feel coming to visit me on the lake. And I dare my neighbors to ask 'em about the "wrong neighborhood." Let's hope that doesn't happen.
