Hey Joe, I'm not understanding the Q quadrant part in 2:00 - Am I missing a step?

Type [q] [.5] [ENTER] to draw a small circle. Move the mouse and the circle will appear beneath the + cursor. Now type [q] (for "quadrant") and click ON the large circle near the top (12:00 position). That will place the center of the small circle onto the quadrant of the large circle at the exact top quadrant, which is the 12:00 position.

I think you could scale the inner one using scale node to node. No? Scale first point, second point to first point second point?

Yes, you could do that but then there would be no material to connect the inner eight point star to the outer star. That is the reason I dragged it down, to visually leave a small amount of the point to overlap.

@@joeinkentucky it’s not clear why I can’t have a copy of the “old software”. Regardless. There’s a copy floating around. It doesn’t seem to require authentication. I have it.

@@irritantno9 You can have the old software. It is a violation of the software license agreement for another person to furnish you with a copy that you will use to design files and run your table. I know you don't agree with that, but them's the terms!

Good for you. Me, personally, I don’t see the benefit. It’s not a money thing for me. I buy quality MC tires. Also, it’s just one more thing I don’t have to worry about. Call it, peace of mind. So, you do you.

Hey Joe, If I'm looking at this right, there is a command you could use to select them all, with a double click of the left mouse button in a blank space in the file and then combine them. The command is in the edit menu, and it's called Combine, or you can use CTRL-B. Let me know if that works for you. I may have a different level of software or something like that. Double click in the file and then use CTRL-B.

Thanks for your response. I would gladly pay for the software upgrades. I really don’t care about their net worth. If they are a good company they deserve their success. I use Lightburn on a laser as well. They are constantly adding updates and new features. I am grateful for your videos, they have helped me create files that I was struggling with due to what I feel like are software deficiencies.

Hello Joe, planning to get a CNC router, now I have a Samson 510 and wondering if PlasmaCams software and a router is the way to go?

@@joeinkentucky Thank you Joe, I was looking for a cost effective way to make things. Having 2 lasers and the 510 most space in my shop is used up. A cnc router has been on my must have list for a while and not have to learn one more computer program would be nice. Is designing in Fusion 360 and using dfx files in Plasmacam possible?
