Mitch Johnston I agree but I wish they would have made some moves in free agency or the draft for O Line. I thought it was stupid of Pace to draft the O Line so late. Also Ifedi from the Seahawks that he signed has way too many penalties.

I like Montgomery but he's not a starter bro. The gimmick RB crap isnt fooling anyone anymore. Nagy is too stubborn to try something new. Patterson should be your starting RB. He loves playing RB bc he can blow right by the DL and LB in just 1 jump cut and then hes gone. Montgomery has to do too much to get just 4 yds and cohen is a WR bc he's too small in the backfield but he's X-factor no.2 nxt to Patterson.now that Ted Ginn is here, we have 2 proven offensive X factors who can score at any time, anywhere and any position and any play. Montgomery lovers will advertise him heavily bc we messed up with Jordan Howard by letting em go bc he's not a receiving RB. I didnt buy the Tarik Cohen experience nor have i bought Montgomery neither. Patterson is the answer at RB not the gimmick RBs Nagys foolin around with.

@@challiewallie4023 You're right that the Bears need to use Patterson more. But he is nowhere near as good a running back as Derrick Henry. Yes, he's dynamic as hell, but he's not about to run everybody over. He and Montgomery should be the main one-two punch. The appeal of Montgomery is that he is a hybrid back. He can run power and zone effectively. The problem last season was that the Bears favorite runs plays were 1) the inside zone play from the gun and 2) that one play where the tight end would come across and try to wham block the defensive end. They quickly became predictable and ineffective. There were also times when Montgomery was just a split second slow hitting the hole, but he can improve that in time. Will he ever be a threat to take it to the house every time? Probably not. But the Bears don't need him to do that. As long as he can grind out first downs and help keep the other team's offenses off the field, he can be effective. The Bears have enough home run threats on offense to keep defenses honest.
