Put the first 16' 2x4 on the wall.and toenail it just below the snap tie. The plywood needs to extend 4 1/4" past the end bulkhead. The 2x4 waler needs to extend out past the end of the plywood wall form about 12 or so inches. Make sure the bottom waler doesn't fall on a plywood seam. Place a 2x4 6' waler on top of the 16' waler. From that point on you're good to go. The whole idea is to stagger the 2x4 walers so they span all the plywood joints and also are are at least two feet staggered from each other. The walers are "laced" at the end of the wall to further secure the end bulkhead. You can do that by nailing 2' 2x4s across them with 16 penny double heads. Use 8 duplex to nail off the hairpins. You do this because when you vibrate the concrete, the hairpins can vibrate loose and off and that ain't good. No way no how. The way you did the wall is totally wrong. The bulkhead should be two 2x4s withe a 6" rip of plywood nailed on them. Hence the 4 1/4" past end of pour or 4 1/8" if you're using 5/8" plywood. A liner device should be connected at least every 8' to line the wall. The way you line the wall is you plumb the end bulkhead perfectly vertical. Then you run a dry line (Mason line), end to end, offset 4" off back of wall form plywood. Then you adjust the liner devices all the way down the wall and when you eyeball it it should be straight as f*ck. After you have poured and vibrated your concrete you need to line the wall again. A wall like that should be done in a minimum of 2 lifts. The next day strip the forms off. Wait a couple more days and break the snap ties off and sack the wall. You should have no air pockets or any other bullshit rookie catastrophes if you pour the wall this way.

I don’t see any toe ties to footer you either shoot 2x to footer and screw bottom form to that both sides or there’s clips you can shoot down with a slot on each side and a screw hold the most pressure is bottom and ties +12” not enough and doesn’t prevent lifting

Just rent wall forms from somewhere. The cost will equate to the time you’re going to spend building this. You’ll be able to do another 3 projects by the time you’re poured out. They’re a lot more sturdy too I’m sure.

Did you by chance do two lifts (two pours?). The risk there is a cold joint if it didn't get consolidated well between top and bottom or timing was too long or something surfaced on bottom lift while it bled that interfered with the top lift mending. Look for any kind of cracking along a potential cold joint. Consider internally vibrating briefly between lifts to integrate them properly - and shouldn't be longer than 15 minutes normally.

I see concrete busting that particle board, how did it go for you? Also see you didn't use any long tail snap ties or form liners. Let's see the finished product? Not hating, at least you are trying something. Curious how it turned out. You should have also staggered the 2x4s to lock the sheets across the seems instead of butting them at the seems... That will separate in my experience as a carpenter. Concrete is heavy and doesn't have forgiveness when it goes. Hope you poured slow. Best of luck 🤞

You can see my other videos to see how it turned out. Didn't have any blowouts. I should've used some long ties as you say. I ended up just screwing a vertical on every 4 feet. I did also stagger the 2x4s to lock them together. Good ideas.
