That out took a lot of difficult shots. Taking the 12 seems right. At first glance I like 11-13-8 at the end, but you’d want to get to the 10 from the 12 for that. Since you really only had the 11 after the 12, I might have preferred a slow stun and then 13-10-15-9-8. The difficult ball after the 12 was the 13 since it only had 1 pocket and not a huge window, so I’d prefer to clean it up as early and as predictably as possible if the set up ball for it (the 11) was going to move. The 15 would be from an easy 9-15 combo after making the 10. Or you could go 9 then 15 if making the 10 put the cue on the left side.
@GilliamPoolJourney3 ай бұрын
That was my original plan but I landed funny on the 11 so I had to change it up and go the difficult route. Valid points though
@insidespin26983 ай бұрын
@@GilliamPoolJourney It was a good out, I didn’t mean to come off hypercritical. I’m used to playing on 9 footers and speed control margins are a bit different on bar boxes. Hard to tell if a drag shot on that 11 would have held for the 13. That short follow off the 11 was the shot that dictated the rest of the rack. It’s tough to recover position.

In your first rack, you played for a pretty small window on the ball before the 8. You got away with it by making that little tiki shot, but a better path probably would have been rail first on the ball in the corner with some bottom right and take it 2 or 3 rails after making the ball. Let the cue ball roll up into the gap from the bottom rail. Also gives a an almost guaranteed bank shot if you don’t have enough speed and takes the hazard area out of shot entirely.
@GilliamPoolJourney3 ай бұрын
Solid point, I didn't think about that when I was looking at it. I felt more comfortable with my first choice but depending on speed that could have been a excellent option. Have you seen my last video? I didn't edit my last one much but I did run the rack out, any feed back on that one?

Nice shooting. Nice stance and alignment. One thing I noticed is that your follow through is very inconsistent from shot to shot. You are the higher speed player. I think you have the more well-rounded 8-ball game. The other guy: I think 5 is in the realm of possibility. He shots kind of fast. Had had a long bridge. He did make some excellent shots at a few points in the game. With this performance, I think he's a mid or high 4. Maybe low 5 at best. The 5's and 6's are really separated from the lower level players by decision making ability and consistency. The 7's are that skill level because they have excellent execution (shape, pocketing, and breaking out balls). Your opponent was kind of in F'it stroke mode. He wasn't as invested in the game. Maybe trying to keep his SL low? But yeah... I think a low 5 is possible, but a stretch with this performance.
