MTSU is such a great venue for the show. Sad they only performed a standstill that night, but i cant wait for this summer to come around!

How do they hold the notes for so long without breathing once? That’s some insane lung capacity
@jackcgrahamm9 ай бұрын
The players stagger their breath so that there are no holes in the sound. It is essential that players have lots of air to support their sound so that it is relaxed and opened throughout, so they breathe more often than you might think. Players may even breathe as often as every bar or every two bars depending on the context.

Great intonation, power, balance and timing. I’ve been playing trombone for 55 years and all of you make me so proud of being a brass player all these years.!! Keep up and strive to be the very best in the nation at your craft.!!

Click*
@jackcgrahamm10 ай бұрын
While I squeeze down the valves with my right hand and rotate the horn, my left hand flicks the third valve slide. The click comes from the slide when I pull it back into the horn. Once the movement becomes fluid enough, you can coordinate the click with the timing of the horn snap.

Ah this was my fav show throughout high school...well besides the slow song...it was a total drag, I don't think anyone in band liked that song haha. :)

@serissathegreat629 we tried our hardest and we did step up to the plate. Graham and Moore said we did pretty good and did our best at most of the competitions soo..
@HinderLover1313 жыл бұрын
I just wanna say responding to Serissa's comment on fb, the reason we march so crappy now is cz we have to march at 178 and are playing things that are muchhh harder then the pep band youngblood brass band haha and we also have much harder forms to make lol so yeah we may march bad but we play some pretty whicked stuff now haha

good show...very good..although some parts were bad..but it must of been a pain to turn a jazz song into a marching show...very good=)

I personally believe that this was a good performance im no pro at judging but i think that you guys probably got like an 89 or 90? im sorry if i got it wrong but the ONLY thing i thought was somewhat off was that sometimes i couldnt hear the bass but in the end it was probably my ear phones xD
@carlosjtown14 жыл бұрын
cant believe you guys made youngblood"s music into a marching show...pretty awesome=)=)
@Setsunako658714 жыл бұрын
Also: to hell with the haters. For a band of this size, you guys have a great sound and are as precise as anyone can ask you to be. And yeah. I've been there.
