ok I might just be dumb but I've downloaded the zip file and tried extracting it as well as using 7zip since the link to Jzip wasn't working but when I run the launcher I got from the zip file nothing happens?

@thebritishteaman2380 it’s been a long time now since I’ve touched it, but I’ve been told you don’t need an extraction program, but make sure you extract all the files to the same place, not just the exe. Also, you’re not dumb! Just trying to learn, no shame in that! Sadly, my memory is a touch spotty now on what exactly needs to be done. Discord may be able to help though!

Love it! I just have this issue with the starting soldiers. The game still manages to sneak randoms (lots) into my barracks. Anyone might now why?

2K was removed 2K launcher, so that means Steam Workshop is useless to XCOM 2 (WOTC).

Great video it helped me understand the AML, but even after following your video my game still crashes at a black screen right after the logos pop up can anybody help i really want to play WOTC with the Christopherodd's season 9 mod pack (Vanilla Xcom 2 works fine with no mods but WOTC doesn't work at all for some reason) I'm desperate :(

Thx fpr the tutorial :) Is there a way to check all the mods you have subscribed to with just one click? I want to use the Christopher Odd modlist which includes some 500+ mods and I really don't want to check them all individually...

If you click the first mod, scroll down to the bottom, and then shift+click the bottom one, it will select all mods. Then, it's as simple as clicking one box! After a second or two, it will enable all of them :D

@@aceofspadesgaming1041 there is an akimbo mod! If you’re using the RPG overhaul mod, you’ll also need the akimbo mod for that too. 😊

That's weird, I might just have to clear my cache or something. The game won't give me the option to give soldiers pistols as primaries with the mod. Great series though, I think your the only person on the site who went against droids instead of stormtroopers or basic Advent.

@@TheTommyTrials I’ve tried the steps as stated in the video but no tab that displays mods ever appears. I’ve launched the game itself thinking it was done automatically but to no avail; the mods did not activate. I’ve been reluctant to mess around with anything in the files due to my extreme ignorance of this line of topics. Coding and placing files in certain places is something I’ve never really needed to do in the past and as such I’ve never delved into it, a consequence of convenience as it were. If there is anything that can explain the problems I may be having I would be eager to give my virtual ear.

@@clonechoopa31 Hmmm, my best advice is to join the discord so we can speak a bit better! (send pictures, and so forth) My initial guess is that maybe your mod path is incorrect, but I'm not convinced that that is your issue. Nonetheless, I (and Star) can likely help you better on Discord.

So I recently had to buy a new pc and whenever I download the AML, I realized the mod directories for “D:\steam games\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCOM 2 WOTC\XcomGame\Mods\” just doesn’t exist for me. I can’t find the mods folder after WOTC and XCOM Game and I’m guessing that’s why none of my mods load, can anyone help me on what I should do?

How do I change the advent models? I downloaded all the things it asked me too but I still have the normal enemies.

Assuming that you’ve installed all of the required mods and you’re using the correct version of the game (WOTC in this case), then on occasion, verifying the game files via Steam can help it run properly. I’ve had this issue in the past, and verifying the game through Steam fixed it!

Glad it’s still useful! As an aside, you don’t need any programs to unzip the files. Windows does that now. (It might have always done it, I’m not entirely sure)

does the game have to be in the same drive as the program and steam? cause i have 3 of them and xcom is on the third one

I can’t say 100%, but I also have a multitude of drives (4TB used to be an excess of space…😭), and the mods installed via Steam seem to install on the same drive. (Which is NOT the drive I have Steam on). So, I shall say no, they don’t need to be on the same drive as Steam, but I assume that the mods do need to be on the same drive.

I have the same mods as u do but the UI for the stats wont show up and when i do promotion it wont show up the UI none of the UI is showing up not sure what to do pls help

It's an old mod list, sadly. I highly doubt it will fully work. I would try disabling any mods that effect the UI, and see if that helps fix it!

It's been half a week and little more than half the series and I'm enjoying it, but I still find the similarities between 'xcom' soldiers and non-xcom soldiers confusing '^^ Still fun to watch you semi fail and yet succeed over and over again! Gonna finish the 13 episodes in 3 days and be back then

Let me tell you, game devs are fumbling the bag HARD with the new games. Gollum was so goddamn weird and just bad overall. Felt so outdated. They NEED to get back to doing games like this!! Shadow of Mordor and Shadow Of War were great and that`s it. Make some turnbased LOTR games, some openworld with nice combat and exploration games, I don`t know. REMAKE THE OLD GAMES.

This video is a perfect example of why I now record all videos with separate audio tracks (thanks to Star’s helpful guidance). We won’t see the improvement for probably 8 parts…but we’ll have the audio all balanced out as we approach Gondor!

I’m playing WOTC for the first time and have some clone wars mods. I have elena dragunova and am trying to customize her into a clone. I can only change her gender to male but when I try to edit the torso or legs I only have some CIS options but no clone armor options. Could it be the mods I’m using are not compatible with reapers?

I’m a little fuzzy on what you must do, but there should be a mod that enabled more armor options for the hero classes. Once you have that, in theory, you can equip “Kevlar” or whatever armor level you’re at, and customize them to your hearts content! Edit: there may be another way, as I was thinking there was a simpler way, but it’s escaping me right now. 😅

@@rxdntpto no worries! UC isn’t my go to anymore. It can cause some issues with performance and certain mods, but if it’s working for you, fantastic! It may take a smidge of digging, but there is another mod, I just can’t remember it…that lets you create uniforms and whatnot. I think Iridar made it. I’ll try and find the name
