Such a wide variety of comments. I own one as a lead. Rarely use it,but when I need to make plywood back for a multifamily, rip some 2xs for various situations (Framing for bath exhaust, moving boxes away from trim, building a quick wall for a panel, etc) it is nicer and quicker than an oscillating or reciprocating saw. For an actual apprentice out there this tool should be very low on your priority list. There are a number of power tools to buy before this-drill/driver, recip saw, oscillating tool, sds drill, just to name a few. Those will generally serve you many times more than a circ saw. As for all the comments about the company providing you tools that has not been my experience-I know several companies and not one provides your hand tools or your standard run of the mill battery tools. Union outfits might, but having spent 7 years at a unionize job (not trades related) I got to see all the bad in unions and I have no desire to ever in a union ever again. What's great about the path I've taken is if I ever decide to go solo/1099 I pretty much have everything I'd need except a couple specialty tools.

Hahaha 😂 "Like move things around" Hahaha 😂! Take an Algebra course so you do it correctly. You must pass Algebra to be a licensed electrician. You obviously did not pass Algebra. "Like moving things around" 😢😅😂!!

Misleading video. You don't understand Alternating current, and you also don't understand unbalanced neutral. What school did you go to?

I'm struggling with the standing around when I'm helping the journeyman. Esp when he is measuring or thinking or doing single man work. I don't know what to do and it sucks that a lot of times I don't know what to do next. I've been an apprentice for a month now. My favorite thing about the job is when im giving my own projects that keeps me busy and I don't have to worry about standing around

I knick my wires to identify before pull. I also tape identify, but sometimes it falls off. My knicks don't.... No knicks = black, 1 knick = red, 2 knicks = white.

Just a heads up if this has not been mentioned. The base plate is installed backwards causing a gap between the baseplate and the ring unit. Recommend flipping over.

It's still not clear. What's not going to be in a room? The code book speaks in half-assed terms because this is all a bunch of unnecessary bs. All it does is cost everybody money and adds stress. I'm 65yrs old and lived all this time without arc fault breakers. I don't even recall an incident where one would have been good to have. We're being squeezed to the point of ridiculousness. People need to start pushing back this controlling nonsense. Now I didn't even touch on the nuscience tripping which is another topic of the same bs.

I love your videos and teaching. However I need to disagree with you personally. Nowadays most apprentices are supplied power tools by their employers (at least in my experience) and a lot of times if you are working in a wood frame structure the framers usually don't mind me borrowing a circ saw to make a cut or two. A sawzall would be a better choice of power tool to personally own but, a circular saw is not a high priority tool necessity for an apprentice.

Nice video, As an EE, with 30 years experience, I see nothing wrong. with your explanation. Recall as a rookie engineer, we were dong an upgrade to an OEM machine. they had 2 different breaker in a panel, not even close to each other feeding a 240VAC load. I was like really, we had to call in Electrician to re-wire the box to fix this. They were pissed of at new rookie, but I had to raise a stink to have it done right.

tiny bit of alcohol, vinegar, citrus...especially on metal...anything nonporous ...use a tissue or napkin so you don't get an inky finger...that leaves marks on things you touch later...

Even worse if the neutral is from one leg of a transformer based power supply or a motor winding. At least a light bulb has some resistance.

4:27 picture shows these taps being used in an outdoor raceway. Isn't that considered "damp" since it is outdoor? Or is this another "varies by location/jurisdiction" thing. Trying to see if I can use these in my upcoming solar install. in an outdoor meter/box combo enclosure.
