Skyler works with/for the creator of SACR, Charles Haywood, who has said he wants to be a warlord after the collapse of the US.

@@ChristineMcCarron I'm sure my landlord would be thrilled about me moving out & renting my place to someone they don't know while raising the price & scraping extra off the top. There's totally no contractual issues there... This is pretty clearly bullshit. You need to actually have property in order to rent that property out, and most people don't have that - especially because of bloodsucking leeches who have made having a roof over your head a privilege rather than a right. This is just ridiculous hustle culture shit. This is absolutely not a good way to make money unless you already own property. It's not a viable option for most people and it's not this easy thing for people to do. It's basically another job, but one with much lower returns, greater risk, and more effort. The math here just doesn't work out. For the same effort, I could work overtime & make substantially more. Or work another job, even at minimum wage it would still be a lot simpler & more productive. This is just hustle culture bullshit which expects poor people to do things they can't afford, then blames them for not having the same resources as middle-upper class people.

OR they could just cut you out and keep the airBNB money for themselves. Because, ya know.
@ChristineMcCarron
@ChristineMcCarron 2 жыл бұрын
If they did, they'd be starting from scratch. The money comes to you through your airbnb account. I suggest signing a lease agreement with them, that gives you legal right to use the property.
@HoopsMacabre
@HoopsMacabre 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChristineMcCarron That is true, but if they were smart, decisive and knew how to use the AirBNB platform, I don’t think there’d be much reason to keep a random guy as a middle man. It’s sort of like a Milkman. You don’t see many of them nowadays delivering fresh milk to doorsteps because nowadays we could just go to the nearest WalMart and buy milk by the gallons instead of by the pint. Same goes for newspapers.
@HoopsMacabre
@HoopsMacabre 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChristineMcCarron Now let’s say if it was your own backyard and you rented out a large portion of it to campers, that’d be different. You could easily maintain your own “campsite”, offer goodies like hotdogs, buns, even marshmallows, really capitalize on it. But I don’t think a person who owns a property would want a middle man giving other strangers the right to put tents on their property. If anything, that’s kinda shady. Not only would the property owner not be allowed to get rid of troublesome campers if illegal activities did go down on their property, but that also gives the person renting out the land with permission from the land owner to pin the blame on the land owner and not take any responsibility. It acts as a convenient excuse/alibi for criminal activities to flourish while using the land owner as a legal and reputation shield. There’s really not much a land owner can do once they rent out a property like that. A smart land owner would realize what they’re getting themselves into and deny access to their yard unless if they have the legal right to terminate the lease at any time and evict people from their property. To withhold that right is also suspicious and unethical. There’s always an ethical side to the situation, and there’s a good reason for that. Nobody wants to be known as the guy who harbors trigger happy lunatics or racists or even drug users in their backyard. Nobody wants to deal with that legal nightmare. That’s why we have systems of accountability in the US, allegedly.

@@HoopsMacabre Many of us do airbnb and find it easy so we may not realize that some people aren't good communicators, aren't tech savvy, don't have time or just don't want to manage their own property. People are paying a lot right now to have others manage their property,. This concept goes a bit beyond managing an existing property and actually creating a new asset.
