Ever seen a swimming Tiger? He's intrigued by the grapefruit floating in his pool. Amazing to watch how purposely he moves step by step. Incredible!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZjRloahdpmqgZJ5E

Video shot yesterday 30 June 2015. Watch how the Tiger uses the water to move the ball to where he can get it. I missed the really cool squabble between brothers when one wanted to get the ball. It WAS something. The three people with me jumped so much no one got any decent film! Also watch how tentative one of the brothers is as he moves around. Please support Initiative 1401 to save endangered species. ** Less than 3,700 Tigers left on earth!!

Please, before you go to sleep tonight, think of ways you can reach out and help all the creatures out there-----humans as well. Grizz!!! Watch this mighty creature play in the water before rummaging around looking for a wee snack. Imagine a world without them, how awful that would be for all of us, Let Kids Be Kids advocates for the rights of all those in the animal kingdom. Yep, humans too----- And, in particular, all those Grizzly Bears out there. (Video: Connemara Productions for Let Kids Be Kids,Inc)

Wow, didn't know some of the details in Laura's life until now. Laura, has been my savior and helped me in a time of need. I was on the edge of being homeless. I had lost my job 3 times in a year due to company's being sold, owners passing away, or massive layoffs. Laura, gave me an opportunity that I can never repay. I was given the opportunity to go to school and EARN my Associated Degree in Network Technology. I now work at Microsoft, own a house, and 2 vehicles. It was the determination of Laura and myself, that would not allow me to fail and to never continue the same path. It was Laura's help that shined a light on the path, it was my determination to take the steps down that path not knowing where it would end. I'm so very thankful I did!

Misty Upham died on 5 October 2014. The exact circumstance are a little foggy, though it looks as if she fell to her death while walking in the woods not far from where she was living... Because of my relationship with #Ravenspeaker, a #Tsimshian dancer and story teller I was able to meet her on two occasions. I found I was very moved by the evenings events when she, a #Blackfeet, was so honored for her contributions.... Actress #Misty #Upham was honored, in a traditional way, by the #Tsimshian dance group #Hayuuk at last nights dinner in her honor at the Daybreak Star Cultural Center in Seattle. Natives Rising hosted the evening to thank her for her work and dedication to reaching out to young people. She stared in August-Osage County, Frozen River, Jimmy P and various TV roles.

A few years ago, when these girls were beginning Middle School, I began introducing various situations to them showing people struggling in society, and in their community. These human situations/challenges would allow the girls to reflect, and approach solutions, from the heart. Within a “Language Arts/Humanities” curriculum it is a stealth way to lead young people towards wanting to reach out with their very best. Once the kids see they have a voice, their reading and writing tends to improve almost immediately, as they want to reach out and be heard- (Bridget received the highest honors and recognitions for her writing at her graduation. You can watch her, and others, talking with the KING on KZbin ). These particular young ladies looked for ways to reach out to young girls in #Afghanistan, #kids in Children's Hospital, people living in tents and on the streets, members of the #Duwamish tribe ,who were seeking recognition as a legitimate tribe, kids on the streets and when they were ready, to a friend who is battling #AIDS. Their outreach has been recognized by the Washington State Legislature (resolution #4652), U.S. Congressman McDermott, the Seattle Mayor, Children's Hospital, Chairperson of the Duwamish tribe and many homeless who sent special cards to the kids in thanks for their help and support. As you will see in the video (13 min) “Tim and Friends”, they have a true love for each other that transcends all barriers. In the second video (11 min) “More with Tim” you will hear the girls respond to questions about death and how they have hopes for the future knowing their lives, and hearts, have made a profound impact on a man who was a stranger two years ago. It has been an honor to associate with these kids as they warm all who come in contact with their overflowing hearts- "...By taking a chance, putting aside fears and stereotypes, three eighth grade girls discovered an unlikely friendship. "I seldom get visitors," said Tim Owens from his bedroom at Bailey-Boushay House in Seattle where he receives residential care. "The days turn into one day into the next." All alone in the world, and without anyone to talk to, Tim is also in pain. So much pain that it hurts to get up, and sometimes all he can do is stay in bed, close his eyes, and hope for better days. But today is one of those days. Bridget, Allison and Stephanie are like angels to Tim, three students who bring him something that numbs the pain -- companionship, laughter and love. The unlikely friendship developed all because a teacher had an idea, hoping to open the girls' hearts and minds and to open their eyes. "I could have said, 'No, I don't want to do this, I don't want to go to some hospital and meet some person with AIDS, I don't want to do that, I'd rather hang out with my friends,'" said Bridget. "And I would have missed this whole experience." "It wasn't until they came that I started getting a hug on a regular basis," said Tim. "They don't think it's anything but a hug, but to me, it's life." With every moment the girls spend with Tim, they've learned that something so simple -- a visit -- can mean so much. "We didn't know that someone so sick with so much sadness in their life could look so happy," said Bridget. "I was just happy that I could just touch somebody's heart like that." That is what keeps the girls coming back to Bailey-Boushay every few months. Visits are never a chore, but just the opposite. "I just come here to have fun," said ___. "I just come here to visit a friend." The girls know Tim doesn't have much time left. Every goodbye could be their last. Which is why, despite the pain, despite the strength it takes just to get out of bed, there's something important Tim has to do. On one of the most special days in a young person's life, Tim made the journey to see Bridget, Allison and Stephanie graduate from eighth grade at Holy Family School. For the first time in a long time, Tim feels good. "I feel included, I'm not alone, I'm in a very good place," he said. "I couldn't imagine missing it for anything in the world." This is Tim's way of saying thank you to the young women who give him a reason to keep going..." Mimi Jung, Anchor on KING Television in Seattle, wrote the above intro to her segment that aired on Seattle television. KING television shows Tim attending the girl's graduation as well as scenes shot in his room before I took him to their school for the ceremony. See: www.letkidsbekids.org to better understand our advocacy and dedication to all on the margins.

Thanks for sharing this video. I think Misty Upham is a beautiful & talented individual with a caring, sensitive, good heart & soul. I've enjoyed watching some of the films she's acted & appeared in. I'm glad that Misty was honored in such a respectful & traditional way in this filmed ceremony for the work she has done to help other living souls. I hope Misty is doing okay. I watched & read some news that her family is concerned & that she has been going through some hard challenges & trials in life such as medical issues, etc. My thoughts & prayers are with Misty. I wish the best for Misty. Thanks again for sharing this video. For me, I would love it if I were honored by the Tsimshian dance group like this. Have a nice day & week.

Warning: don't go to this school unless you are liberal, gay, or a leftist. If you do, and you don't fit into those demographics, you will be bullied, shunned, and ridiculed, even by the teachers. -a former student who couldn't take it anymore and transferred to another school

Its tragic that you seem angry towards people who are sick. Possibly you are unaware that millions of straight people are infected through various exchanges of fluids, from various sources, all over the world. Outside of the USA many are born infected. P.S. The correct spelling is allowed.

No sir, Seattle USED to be a great place. I am especially fond of North Seattle, where I was born and raised in the 1950s. That wetland that is now home for a total of 23 birds was once a major Naval operation that employed hundreds, if not thousands of military and civilian citizens. Now Seattle's modern citizens wish to divorce themselves from the historical significance of Sand Points military history. It's the Californication of Seattle in action. It is nice to see the birds all the same.

THE ANSWER YOU SEEK IS, JESUS CHRIST. Even as a young kid,I ran away from home and went to the City of St. Louis, and lived on the streets untill one morning I got picked up by the police, but before that, for many weeks,I knew what it was to be Hungry,Cold,Lonely,Desperate,Scared. But I had remembered one Important thing I was taught,TO PRAY, AND CRY OUT TO GOD ALMIGHTY,JESUS STILL ANSWERS PRAYER,when we come to him as a little child, with a pure honest heart.

@RedClownKnight : Kids are not allowed because the STATE won't let them!! If someone becomes pregnant, and are homeless, they are moved into a DCF home where BOTH parents can stay and the mother and father are drug tested on a regular basis. Again, some people can't help it. If you don't apply for jobs and do what you are suppose to, you get kicked out! It's not a free ride!!

I lived in THIS tent city for over 6 months!! There are 6 total! They relocate every 3 months to a different church or location. Some like it there, and don't try to work, but like my husband and I, we had no choice! You don't get a free ride while you are there! Everyone has to do security at least 3 times a week, keep a log of where you applied for work, and the tents are checked reqularly to make sure you don't do anything stupid. If you don't do it, you get kicked out!!

" No kids are allowed which creates a huge problem " No kids allowed? so what happens to the families then? are they going to be separate too until some of them is going to find a job? well and blaming the illegals wouldn't solve this problem. If you want to blame someone then you have to blame yourself for your lifestyle

Happy Easter. Some men have been living at tent City for six plus years. Some would consider them professionally homeless. The shelters will accept anyone. They do a predator check with the police prior to allowing anyone to camp. No kids are allowed which creates a huge problem for women and kids not to mention men/women and kids. Not sure what you mean by responsible. there are rules that must be followed which keeps some from looking for shelters...
