Had problem with charging lights going on. I tried flip flopping the contacts on the charger to no avail. After an hour I sorta gave up. Nothing happening. Then I removed the new battery, inspected it, and reinserted it. IT WORKED. I do not think the battery was making good contact. I never figured that would be the solution. Can't argue with success!

Great light but astonished when I got it home, to discover that there is no charging port on the light. This means that you have to remove the battery cradle, remove the batteries, then put them into a charger (not supplied). Then, obviously, do the reverse when batteries are charged. I used my light each night, so this is a tedious procedure. I expected more from Fenix. Practically every battery powered item has a charging port these days, including the earlier model. Yes, the charge ports are a water penetration risk but that's easily overcome.

There are loads of good points in the comments and hopefully Fenix take note. I have the original hm65 and performance is awesome. For running I have to use a headband or hat as it needs to be tight to stop movement and I am sure for largest heads that won't be possible. So when looking for an upgrade instead of a v2 I bought the new hl32, it's more comfortable to run with however the distance light has so little spill it's not reassuring and it sounds like hmr62 v2 is also like that. As neither can be used with both light s on unlike the early 65 that's a negative for me for running.

it's a bit weird to have an advertisement video about 3 lamps and not showing anything about the actual light anywhere in the video. Wouldn't have been too hard to at least compare the light distribution visually by just taking photos. Gladly there are other channels who show passion for their work and that show exactly such comparisons.

Compared to HP30R v2, body materials and quality of 35R seems way cheaper. A battery pack, main body, both looks like "typical Chinese headlamps".

The V2 model does not allow us to use both beams together which is disappointing. Also, it would great to have shortcut to high mode instead of cycling through low to high. The warm light could use a bit more flood too as it doesn't light up close to our feet without tilting it far down. Thanks

What about the other end of the charging cable, do you connect it to some sort of solar power energy outlet, reactive generated power source, windmill power source or hydro turbine power generated outlet. It's very confusing and seems like very expensive operation
