@@darkmareiii4902 Sometimes you can catch them with deer hair flies that are imitatons of mulberries that fall from trees , and the carp feed on them on the surface. Other times you can use wolly buggers, crayfish imitations ,leech patterns or squirmy worm flies to catch them when they're feeding on the bottom in shallow water. You have to ve able to see them in order to catch them with artificial flies, is mostly sight fishing. Sometimes also, specially before or during a rainstorm they become unusually aggressive and they even hit a streamer blind casting and retrieving it , but in that case is the exception and not the norm. Carp aren't aggressive as a trout, pike or bass, is more a scavenger than a predator , but they definitely are omnivorous, meaning that they will be willing to eat almonds anything that is on their path.. Actually Rio a brand of fly lines it used to manufacture a fly line designed specifically for car fishing. Tight lines my friend!!!!

I’m starting to get into pike fishing wonder if you have any tips to catch more I’m a bass fishermen

@@BrodyHoffman12 Just to be clear, the fish in this video is a big pickerel, not a northern pike but I also fish for pike so If you fish in rivers, always look for similar spots that you look for largemouth bass, slow moving water, and cover like big submerged logjams. If you fish in lakes you have to keep in mind water temperature, they usualy like colder water than bass, so look in deep weedbeds in the summertime, and fish early in the morning. In spring and fall you'll find them in shallower water. Use big spinnerbaits, in lines spinners and medium to large size jerkbaits. In terms of colors, white spinnerbaits and firetiger for jerkbaits. Good luck 👍🏻 and thanks for your question!!

Good job on those catches. People don't understand those fish are so strong in the current which makes the fight so much more fun.

Thanks for your coment , yes , exactly, river fish are usually stronger than fish that live in stillwater like lakes, ponds, etc. And specially shad that are anadromous, saltwater fish that runs into rivers.
