Do not use 5W20 it's too thin, us 10W30 and always premix the appropriate amount of 2 Stroke oil when filling up gas

So much negative comments, like in Russia. Rotary engine is awesome, but it requires better materials for it parts, and more precession assembling. Also it requires more experienced owners, owners of rotary cars should know more about cars then typical drivers of family van. And it’s too late for rotary engine, because combustion engines era is almost gone.

How do you know that this base is not on the other side of the planet? You know sooner or later, but it' time consuming to find out real close that you have to go all the way round to that base.

You don't know until you get within range, which is a pain, but when you start approaches like this it begins to not matter, as you can just keep your orbit high until you have direct line of sight of the base. Fly safe CMDR! o7

Actually, I found out. It get tripled/dotted when on backside. But I see know when watching again your landing. You approach and line up real fare out before diving in. I did just dive straight in, also when it was dotted, all the way down. Flying around the hole planet, excused by my beginner approach. Thank you for video and answer, really helped watching again :)

Yeah it'll become dashed if it's behind the planet, but even still, the dash sometimes shows up pretty late. That's why I try to keep the high orbit until the dash appears. Happy to help!!

I always wanted an RX-8, but I try to find the 2nd gen models (2009-2012) because it seems like they have less problems than the 1st gen models. Every forum, video, or info you find about the RX-8, it always talks about its problems and those issues always ties to the 1st generation cars. Maybe the 2nd generation cars don't have as much issues as the older ones, there's rarely any videos or info on the 2nd gen's problems. If there isn't any problems, the 2nd gen RX-8s would be better than the older RX-8s since Mazda made changes to the Renesis and the car after 2008
@gehtdianschasau83728 жыл бұрын
i love the rx-8, but this video is a disaster. Some of the money you paid for your rotary godess was used to pay that pile of marketing crap. Nobody who would consider owning this car gives shit about image or standing out. this car is about having fun and honing skills. Fuck that terrible video in terrible quality. Well to see the positive: Mazda obviously preferes giving funds to suspension dudes rather than pr-asswipes.

@justinthomas79427 жыл бұрын
Aidan Higby I'm buying one soon- can you message me and help me with how to take care of it
@aidanhigby73337 жыл бұрын
unfortunately I don't have mine anymore, the main thing to know is it isn't a car you can turn on to move around and turn straight off it pretty much needs to be up to operating temp before you bother trying to turn it off and make sure you keep your eye on the oil and keep it topped up and change it roughly every 5000kms. as long as it is up to operating tempo before you switch it off you shouldn't be able to flood it, if you have to move it in a driveway or something take it for a short drive before you turn it off. also when you first turn it on to drive when the engine is cold let it warm up for at least a minute then baby the car for the first 5 minutes of the drive or so until it is up to operating temp (keep it below 4k rpm and preferably stay around 3k rpm) then when it is at operating temp you can drive like a madman.

Bought a 2007,rx8 2 weeks ago,I got it cheap,engine is good,starts first time every time hot or cold,it needed a dipstick,parking light bulb,passenger door light,coolant level was low,I cleaned the air filter,next I have to fix the central locking and some chip marks on the rims and the rear plate bulbs ,everything else works.The tire pressure was low on two tires,I think the last owner just added oil when it needed it.

People moan and groan about the Renesis engine, but really, at the pricepoint of a used RX8 (they're stupid cheap) you can afford to spend some $$. Think of it another way - if you bought a typical BMW or something you're going to lose more money in depreciation every year than you'll spend on your RX8. Not to mention that if you get a higher-end used car the repairs are astronomically expensive. The new Porsche GT3 RS has a titanium exhaust, imagine how much that's going to cost when it goes! Probably as much as a new Renesis...

+Detc0re Im thinking about making an RX-8 my next vehicle purchase. I am very much looking for a "drivers car", would you make the assumption that for this price point i couldn't do any better? I am not worried about the prolonged time i must spend with my vehicle, seeing as i prefer being behind the wheel than anywhere else.
@ferengoid9 жыл бұрын
+RyMann88 Right on! I had mine out autocrossing a couple of weeks ago, it's such a precise vehicle and very stylish too - I hope the next generation of enthusiasts will pick up the torch and keep this car on the road for years to come. It may be that the RX8 is the last rotary car we have, and it would mean that eventually they will be collectible. I'm starting to think that might happen, since Mazda is backing off plans for a successor. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's my take on it! Good luck!
@ferengoid9 жыл бұрын
+Detc0re ps you guys, don't forget to get a proper compression test before you buy one. If it's low (lower than 6.9) it will need a rebuild or replacement soon. A Renesis should produce around 8psi if it's healthy. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a car with a tired engine, but factor that into your offer. Happy Hunting!

I would like more info for troubleshooting as to why my 2005 rx8 stalls while the a/c is on. It over loads the engine and the rpms rise and fall till it stalls! I changed the plugs, cleaned maf sensor and cleaned throttle body. What else do I need to do?

If the fact about rotary engine did not last long, compare how many rx8 or rx7 owner rebuild their engine to non rebuild owner?real rotary owner should know this compare to riser. Nothing last forever.different only how long and how good you taking care of the engine even for the piston

Im Thinking of buying an Automatic Rx8, but seeing people spend tons of money on it is kind of changing my mind.. Is there.anything i should know of these cars if i buy one??
@jessebowen37259 жыл бұрын
gabrielgee5 You'll hate yourself for loving it so much.
@dafiltafish9 жыл бұрын
gabrielgee5 1- the automatic is actually a lot more fun than most will have you believe despite the 30hp missing from the manuel version. I recommend learning stick, but if you don't want to the RX8 auto is a far better choice than most cars its age. 2- If you dump a little bit of 2-stroke oil into the gas tank when you fill it up you essentially make the gasoline a secondary lubricant, circumventing many common issues with the apex seals. 3- It is a sports car. Treat it like one. It can be used every day, but it isnt a mustang or a miata, you need to be attentive to your car's needs. 4- being a total car nerd is a requirement. You say you aren't one now? Give it time, my friend. 5- Resist the urge to give it hugs, no matter how much you end up loving it. A word on rebuilds: As far as when the dreaded day of engine rebuild comes, have a plan. At independent shops rebuilds can cost about $2000-$3000 and if you have some money set aside for it it is a nearly painless process. Even then it isnt that expensive, the car's reputation damaged its resale to the point where it costs about as much as a 350z after you factor in the rebuild, and since your insurance will see it as a "1.3L sedan", you will come out ahead with the RX-8 making it quite the economical choice... I know "economical" and "RX-8" in the same sentence, but it is true. Anyway, happy car shopping, I do recommend this car to anyone willing to love it as much as it deserves.
