The reverse won't work because the Portal 2 maps are compiled for a newer version of Source than what Portal is running. For maps to load, they must be compiled for the same or a previous stable version of Source. (If you have maps that are compiled for a previous version of Source which is a beta branch, they will not load in newer versions of retail Source.)

To fix the first part of the game you can change the portal id to 0 because p2's default is 1, at least thats what i remember from my days of experimenting with both games

I had just realized something. Chell uses those bars Wheatley has to hold on to as she and Wheatley gets sucked into space right? But as soon as Wheatley replaces GLaDOS with the first core transfer, he loses those bars, allowing him to open and close his side covers. Like they're completely gone. I don't see them pulled back or anything. And once Chell puts a portal on the moon, he conveniently gets those bars back for Chell to grab onto.

in the moon cutscene you also get shrunk down. you can prove this by using ent_create to spawn things on the moon, and they’ll be bigger than normal.

Lore wise it would make sense for it to not work, as Wheatley never intended to to allow you to actually complete the puzzle, and is bad at making them, having to take Glados' ones. So it wouldn't be out of character for the puzzle to be broken.

That's how games work. If you never go somewhere, there's no reason to put resources, manpower, time and effort into making something nobody will ever see in a normal playthrough. You wouldn't expect in singleplayer war games to have the rest of the town to be designed around a random barricaded corner you cant go through. There's no reason to waste time designing it.

@@Monkeyl638YTthat's actually not a test room, the Wheatley in this room is the one projected onto the monitor in the start of chapter 8. It's a pretty common practice in source engine games

those are there for the monitors wheatly uses throught the whole part, he has to be in the level somewhere for him to show up in the monitors
