Sir hello! I find your video about trig inequalities very helpful but I have some problem with finding the interval. In my book they sometimes write with minus sign like -3pi/4,3pi/4 and I don't understand why. Could you help me out?

@@devakunjariselvam4115 There are three quantities: arc length, angle measure, and radius length. Given any two, you should be able to find the third. One of the three is not enough information to find anything else.

@@crackers4life689 An integer means…-2, -1, 0, 1, 2… no decimals. If you don’t specify k is assumed to be all real numbers. Decimal values of k will not give you the same output value.

Thanks for the vid! Quick question though at 6:23 , why did you use 9 in place of k?

@@corgiwhisper k represents any integer. The goal is to choose an integer that will make the value of the expression land in the interval graphed. By choosing 9, the expression becomes f(39-9*4) which equals f(3) which is in the interval. If you left k as an unknown number, what would you subtract? How would you make the number smaller to get in the graphed interval?

Hey Mr. Helpful, why can we go from delta y is approx equal to f’(c) time delta x to dy = f’(c) dx? How do we justify that jump? Thanks!

@@MathCuriousity It’s all about limits. As the delta x and delta y (dy and dx) become infinitely small, the approximation approaches the exact value asymptotically. If you can determine the limit as dx approaches zero, that will be the exact value. That’s as much as I can tell you about the theory.

@@ShaineCereno Do you mean the +9 that appears when we do (r-3)(r-3)? When you multiply these, you do -3x-3 which is +9. That’s the only +9 I could find in the video. If that’s not what you are asking about, please leave a time stamp.
