This song effectively, if not intentionally, is indeed glorifying drugs -- the coding "beetlebum" making it the more interesting the more exclusive it seems. Fans tend to acclaim uncritically what their idols do and say: "nothing is wrong"...? Independence should be more admirable than dependence (addiction). So you might very well ask: What's wrong?

Just broke out this with a pile of old fave CDs, and was immediately back into that this great unique band! Never saw them live but this video is a great example of the sound! Bring back the 90s.

I think this is my original recording. I traded it with a bootleg trader in 1987. He told me that so many were trading for it or buying it. Cool if it was mine. Cool if it isn't

Todd's got white Creepers on to fit in while still rockin' the way he did with Murphy's Law. He added dynamics to the band and made it sound closer to the record. Danny's tone is really good there. Jesse had two versions of that sweater - one white and one black. I remember all this stuff!

Mike sounds like he keeps running out of breath during the choruses. I wonder if he was sick or just maybe nervous.
@sw99792 ай бұрын
Definitely never NERVOUS. He had confidence for sure. I think he was so much into the song bc this song will have you out of breath when you’re hyped and getting into it. You can see he was REALLY into it. I think it fits the vibe of this song. I rather for him to perform like that than just singing it standing still in one spot. I really enjoyed this performance. You should watch their other live performances. He’s killing it

Heroin is a heavy drug. Try it at your own peril. I didn't care for it. Guess my demons are not that bad. Or I'm just a miserable bastard that won't let anything make me happy even for a short while.

Saw these badass MOFO's in Boston 2 days ago and they were on fuckin FIRE! The band was so damn tight, the crowd energy was so positive, people were dancing, smiling, singing along. The guys were TOGETHER on stage smiling, joking, showing love for one another and the crowd. It was a healing experience for the band I think. I know I waited 26 years to FINALLY see them live, after missing them by 5 mins at some radio Xmas show with 5 other bands that I didn't give 2 wet shits about. Drove like a madman through Connecticut just to watch "Squirrel Nut Zippers" take the stage. NOPE! But seriously, I'm so happy they buried the hatchet and made peace with each other,.......It was that or some promoter dangled 10 million dollars in front of them.

Probably clean now? I mean they were always awesome…. Word up. I’m in CT, I haven’t seen them and WANT TO!
