I’ve often assumed but never taught that God knew beforehand what Solomon would answer. Is that why He told Solomon to ask for whatever he wanted? If this is true, Does that lessen Solomon’s request? I don’t think so.

I became a widow before I was 30, with three small kids at home. I raised them BY MYSELF for 16 years, in poverty that most people couldn't imagine. God took my husband and my kids' dad, then He threw us to the wolves. Tell me again how perfect God's plan is! I DARE YOU! When I stand before Him, someone will have to explain why my life turned out the way it did, and that someone is NOT GOING TO BE ME!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been tried to reason my way through, rather than wait on the Lord. Too often, I pray and then act as if I most do all the work myself. Thank you for your comment. You encourage me so much.

Thanks so much. I live on a barrier island. I never stay for hurricanes. I evacuated. I’m home now. I came home the day after the hurricane. No damage but a huge mess. I’ve not tried to do anything on the net but clean up so much. i took all my orchids into my house. My living room looked like a jungle. My daughter and son in law came to help me clean one day. They were amazing. I am so very blessed!
