Hey yes there's a WIP although I worked on three versions so far, two were just practicing this stuff and didn't release them. But try this last one which I did for the older Bazza pack the ACL GTR or the 70s: www.mediafire.com/file/98fa7fs1w6lpa0c/ac_legends_gt_corvette69_V2_5_alt_sfx.7z/file It's supposed to be from a 7-litre C3 at Le Mans Historic race several years ago but can't remember where to find that video clip now. There's plenty of more Corvette clips it's just a matter of time choose, sit down and do it

Thanks still trying to improve! Well in AC it's all F keys, F1 for cycling around cockpit, chase, hood, dashcam views, F3 cycling between TV cams (if there's more than 1). F5 rotating cam around a car when holding mouse button. And F6 is cycling among the car's onboard views like this one (AC has 6 of them here, depends how the car creator/modder positioned them). F2 and F4 are some kind of TV director auto/cam switching views.

The organizer was THR and this Le Mans race has taken place a week ago, on 21-january, and it was a multi community event with 48 cars in total and over 100 drivers, with working driver swap community tricks for Assetto Corsa. @neozone_hyrax.raw.6 ай бұрын
Well yes and no, MRL (motion Racing Leage) use simulators that move and give you a right rattling if you crash so there are safety precautions similar to actual racing for that

Well it's true, but I know this was a case of panicking and loosing orientation, wanting to move out of the way asap etc... btw Direct Drive steering wheel has become more and more common and that one can hurt you sometimes if you don't get your hands off the wheel getting into accidents.

I've ended up here from Jimmy Broadbent's video; that car's sound is incredible. Can you provide a brief overview of how you create the sounds? My current understanding of synthesised engine sounds goes from "it sounds wrong" to "witchcraft" without knowing what happens in between.
@felixseven89587 ай бұрын
Hi, and thanks. Well it can take quite a while. And, unless you can afford your recording equipment and going to a track to record a car, it's literally looking all over the youtube or other places on internet for videos and/or audio recordings with good sound quality AND the car has to be driven well on track 100%... not those show off easy and weak drives around your local drives because it will also sound weak in game. Things like that. There has to be RPM ranges from idle, low, mid, high - on throttle and off throttle. Internally and externally. Then taking samples of all those with some recording software, free or paid. Flattening the pitch of the samples so that the game can use autopitch function and follow the engine RPMs change. That's about 50-60% of work done. And the rest is arranging the samples in FMOD program that finally creates the .bank and GUIDS files that are used by Assetto Corsa. And that's some months or more of practice, trying and failing and getting better and better slowly. To begin with all this, you have to be somewhat computer savy and used to all kinds of software, audio/video files manipulation, because it will then feel all familiar and will just take some time to get used to it. There are videos to watch on youtube from several sound modders for AC who recorded what and how they do it, such as SHRModding and AmaFMOD or Fonsecker. That takes time and patience too :D

It's bizarre when you look back with a modern concept of safety. But back then they literally did zero for crash safety as you were way better off getting ejected- you were just riding a fuel tank with a motor and wheels. The drivers wanted to be "thrown free" of that fuel tank fire during a crash, not kept inside.
@felixseven89587 ай бұрын
Yes there is some logic to that!
