Why tape their ears?? They pop up on their own after a year or even less!

Because some ears don’t ever come up. And for those who are conformation showing or who prefer them standing this can help support them long enough to ensure they stand.

No need for any taping!! Boston ears pop up over the first year. Why do this??

Not all do! Some droop and this is a painless way to support them gently to be sure they stand.

How long do you think taping takes? Our pup is 10 weeks and both parents have traditional pooped ear but hers were folded still.

It’s different for every pup. Whenever tape gets old and you have to remove and replace it, i leave it off for 2 days and see if ears drop. If they do, i will retape. Keep this up til they stand on their own.

This one i started taping when i got her at 8 weeks. Its so soft and gentle you can start whenever you get the puppy. It just offers slight support. I replace it when it gets dirty or falls off and do it until the ears stand by themselves. If they start to droop again i reapply. This dog i only did it a few weeks and she was good. If your dog is over 6 months, this likely wont help.

@@westcactuskennels9874 thank you so much. I just got mine. He is 8 weeks old. I’ll just what you’ve done with the medipro tapes. There are other videos over the internet where they use nasal strips and other adhesives. I’ll stick with your method. Thanks

@@la7427 I hope so! The girl here is 2.5-3 months. What color is yours? Some lighter colors have heavier ear leather and need to be taped longer. Good luck! 🤞🏼
