I've had mixed experiences with them. My first suit the jacket fit fine, but the pants were too big so had to get it tailored down and then I modified my measurements for the next suit order. That original suit looked great and was pleased. Even my tailor was impressed by the quality of the fabric given studiosuits is a budget suit manufacturer. On my next suit order, I actually ordered two suits. Unfortunately, one was in stock and the other was not and so they wouldn't refund me the cost of the second suit because the two suits were ordered on the same cart purchase. They would've refunded me if I ordered them separately, but I didn't. That was absurd, so I had to pick another fabric. There were other fabrics I liked so I selected another suit. After selecting the replacement for the out of stock one, two weeks later I was told that this one was also out of stock and still couldn't get a refund. At the same time, they were holding the other suit that was in stock hostage until I picked another replacement for the replacement. Well, after arguing back and forth for two weeks and demanding management, one associate called Terry saved the day for me and had the designers send me the suit that was in stock and it fit perfectly. I selected a replacement suit just last week and fingers crossed that one comes to me. It's not the money that bothers me, but the fact that they need to improve their inventory tracking a whole lot better. If you're able to order a suit, you should have it in stock. If not, then it shouldn't be available on their site.

I would say if I was you. I would get a custom suit done by a tailor first and have him make sure that everything is right. SS does have the option to send in a suit that is made by someone else, and they will just copy the pattern from the suit you ssnd in. Also, it is better to have more fabric than not enough. You can always take it to a tailor near you and they can fine tune it for you. You cannot add a lot of fabric to a garment that does not have enough. Make sure understand what your body type is when you start marking changes to the aesthetic like ticket pockets, side tab on the trousers, etc.

I haven’t checked their website yet, but if you are able to get samples of the fabric you like, that would show you what the colours and feel of the cloth is really like before you spend money on it.

I used this and others reviews to make my online purchase with studiosuits. My advice is to take screenshots of every question and selection made. Prepare an email and confirm that this is what you are getting. If you do not record and if there is an error during the production process you will have nothing to prove what you order. I received another design that I ordered. Their response was that they receive thousands of orders a day and that it is impossible for them to make a mistake. If not a refund, I expected a credit amount to re-order understanding that nonetheless they had incurred in expenses as well. There was no offer or reasoning.There is no guarantee. If a mistake is made you will lose your money unless you can prove what you bought and had confirmation before making the purchase.The experience left a bad taste.

I also purchased a three-piece tweed suit from Studio Suits, in 2019. Their website is easy to navigate and allowed me to customise every detail. You can even specify things not shown on their site, for example I got the waistcoat with upper welted and lower flapped pockets. A common complaint I've seen online is that their suits tend to run big and that was the case with mine. If I order another Studio Suit I will give chest and waist measurements an inch or two smaller than my actual size (but keep the lengths the same). Actually the slightly oversized shoulders gives my suit a nice vintage look. The fabric of my suit, the "dark brown herringbone tweed", has a lovely soft quality feel. Be aware that they describe colours differently that I would, for example I would describe that tweed as "taupe". (Tweed colours are described differently in the UK and the USA, and Studio Suits tends to follow UK naming.) I recommend getting fabric samples prior to ordering your tweed suit.

I did throw it in the dryer on no heat with a pair of soft jeans, just to break it in. I think the alignment is decent for the cost. It fits better than my off the rack suits that have been tailored. Since these shoes are black, I do not wear them much. I actually work them in, even though browns or blue shoes would be better. I do know the new cork bed helped a lot. I do wear these with a medium weight sock as I think the previous owner stretched the leather a bit. When you get them resoled they go down to the welt. I thought it was a decent job for $160. It would have been $125 if I would have kept the original split soles that it came with. However, I think the double soaked sole, with rubber heal will last longer.

@Cagnam6 жыл бұрын
Hi, what do you mean? they are a little poor with the measurements?
@JDIAthletics6 жыл бұрын
What I mean is, you should know your measurements exactly. They have "off-the-shelf" sizes, but if you want a suit that will fit you like a glove then be very meticulous with what measurements you send them. I know the very first time I ordered, I went into "worst-case" thinking - ie: what if the arms are too small, what if the crouch isn't comfortable and etc. So I gave myself 0.5 inch extra in those areas as a just-in-case. When I got the suit, it fit comfortably like a glove. Now, I've changed sizes through the years and thus the suit fits differently..and that's the beauty of something made such that only I can wear it. Give them a try. They have the measurement guide on the website. I highly recommend them.
