Got pretty close to the Pole as a jump seat rider during the annual operation Boxtop from Thule to the Canadian Camp Alert. I actually got to stand up in the C130 cockpit during takeoff and climb out on the return from Alert. The pilot told me to stand up, hold on and enjoy the view. the C130 has a huge glass cockpit so it was absolutely awesome. Probably broke a bunch of regs but no one gave a shit as far as i could tell.

The main reason newbies want to get into aviation for the thrill of it is for affordability. For $40,000 you can buy a small cabin in the woods on some acreage.

Airbike 10k. Bushwheels 1.5k. Done. Also. New guys like Aeropup USA are selling firewall back for 22k. For 40k you can have a real LSA not an ultralight. Nuts pricing.

No you're looking for a Merlin or an aeromax or a kit fox or a badlands or one of the dozen other much better performing planes that can easily be found under 50k anyday of the week.

The standard equipment is a Polini THOR 303 engine. As clearly shown in the video, electric powertrain is optional. The Polini is a 38 horsepower engine.
