Thank you! It took a lot of tries to get just right, but I love the way it turned out.

A monthly update is a great idea, it is always interesting to see what other people are making. What do you use to film and edit your videos? Thank and keep on making!

I'm trying something new. Thanks for letting me know it's a good idea. I'm using my Samsung phone (Galaxy A54) and DaVinci Resolve to record and edit. I have other cameras and Adobe Premier Pro, but honestly, my phone and DaVinci are so much simpler and my phone syncs everything to DropBox, so I don't have to manage a bunch of media cards or anything.

Be really careful cutting the little round plug in half. I had one take off spinning on me in the band saw and give me quite the wood burn/cut, so use a clamp or something to hold it if you're going to do something similar. Let me know how it goes. I'd love to see what it looks like when you get it done if you're willing to share an image or something.

How is the mech cammed
@spetzlerdesignsАй бұрын
I think it's called a "fast return actuator". I used an offset pin in a circular cam that goes into a slot in an arm. It's easiest to look up the term and see a drawing or graphic.

The arms are in different positions And it makes them look like they have more character... Especially The person on The left whereas his arm was straight down now it is slightly tilted forward
@spetzlerdesigns3 ай бұрын
Good eye. I do tend to pay attention to the default position of the arms a lot more than I used to. All of the arms are somewhat adjustable (the arms are not glued solid, but jointed with a piece of leather cord that allows me to rotate them), so you can re-position the arms of all of these robots to some degree. They may go back to the default position over time though, so it's still important where they are rotated when I first glue them.

Sorry, but you have a very high frequency noise that gives me a headache Please fix it in later videos
@spetzlerdesigns3 ай бұрын
My apologies. I am old enough that I've lost the ability to hear high frequency sounds. I can't hear the sound, so I'm not sure how to know if it's there. I'll try turning off all the equipment in the shop. Hopefully it's not my desk light.

I'm struggling to finish the last 4, but I am determined to do so. I've been wanting to try making whirligigs, and I purchased the supplies to do a musical door chime. Honestly, there's so much that excites me that I'm having trouble deciding what I want to do next.

Have you considered using a branding iron for your logo?
@spetzlerdesigns3 ай бұрын
Yes. That was my first thought too. The two companies I contacted to make one for me told me that the size is too small and detailed for them to turn into a brand. I haven't tried any others recently. That would be ideal though.

I'm planning on doing a lot more of these. It just takes me a really long time to make & edit them for some reason, so I have to save up the energy to do it. I still have 4 more in the robot series to finish and then we'll see how motivated I am. Thanks for the nice comment!

how iss this made? what is the priniple?
@spetzlerdesigns3 ай бұрын
I don't think I can explain it in words because I don't know what the components are named. It's basically an offset cam shaft with a slotted wire loop so that the wire goes side to side, but not up and down.
