What does it connect to again?
@theoneandonlyclockworkАй бұрын
You will be able to use this to get to the Geronimo Lift on the apache side to ride it to the top of Apache Peak. You can also connect to bacho which is at the bottom of the RAW trails at the Geronimo lift. You will also be able to connect to lower loamazona which is also near the Geronimo Lift. At some point I hope to cut a trail that peels off this and takes you to the Ski run prior to the end of Jaage so one could ride this and also have a way back to Sunrise Base without climbing.

@@theoneandonlyclockwork sweet thanks, I saw tontogravity’s post but forgot. They don’t have Apache lift running yet this season for bikes do they?
@theoneandonlyclockworkАй бұрын
@@kevankakes No Geronimo lift this year. Sunrise will have lots of prep to do to it to support summer MTB. Next Season. It will add a nice level of epicness to the mountain riding up sunrise. down a mile and up even higher on a 2nd lift.

Looks pretty mellow grade until that last bit where it gets steeper. Should be nice after it packs in and some lines develop KB
@theoneandonlyclockworkАй бұрын
Yeah top bit is mellow but like Jaage's mellow spots I expect it will speed up. I may add some flow/speed features in the future but want to see how this plays out as I have small reroute that can be done that will speed up the first top portion. Not much room as its right above Jaage in the beginning and below it after. The portion knocked off would become the entry into the next trail in that zone anyways Hopefully the mountain can provide more dirt and it could be a blue flow with tons of tight berms snaking through the forest down towards where this one drops out to the geronimo lift.

Is this the best way to the top? What’s the best shuttle route out there?
@theoneandonlyclockwork Жыл бұрын
I have made sure that trailforks is up to date for the area. This is the best way up on a bike. Shuttles have a different route obviously. Check out trailforks for routes and trail info. Not all trails are currently open but 2 of the main shuttle runs are. Forest road 651 is the main road up.

Do you have plans for another build at Sunrise?
@theoneandonlyclockwork Жыл бұрын
Sure do! It will step up the game again! This time the more experienced riders and jumpers will get there fill with the first build of the season. Then if time permits, we are going to transform Shush into a pinedale like flow trail so green riders can have a killer green flow trail route down from mid lift to base. This will ease some of the too green use of jaage and truly give sunrise that full green trail cause as we know while jaage is greenish is mainly blue if ridden proper at speed.

I don't think I've EVER seen an MTB vid that's this smooth/unaffected by terrain. Are you using a chest mount with a gimbal or something? Anyway, glad to see the progress being made at Sunrise 👍
@theoneandonlyclockwork Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I am currently working on a new Blue flow trail for Sunrise right now. It will be accessible off Jaage or fungus and lead to the bottom of the jumpline with an exit for it and lower fungus. However with the flow and feature in the bottom there is no reason to exit trail unless you want to hit a few bigger jumps. While I am old I do ride pretty smooth. However its mounted above my eyes and below the visor. It is also a gopro 9 with image stabilization.

Beautiful trail, but looks pretty flat & slow. Next time mount the GoPro to the chin bar, it's a much better view. And hopefully eliminate that clicking noise, not sure what that is, something with the mount, maybe?
@theoneandonlyclockwork Жыл бұрын
thanks. People are running the 1.8 miles in under 5 minutes.
@theoneandonlyclockwork Жыл бұрын
I added a new video from early july on the same trail. Gopro mounted under visor while it provides excellent view of the trail after it has set in over winter it lacks the bars so its like floating down the trail. I really need to try a chin mount as my preferred right now is chesty with an actual gimbal but its a bulky setup.
@huntstyle Жыл бұрын
@@theoneandonlyclockwork which GoPro do you have? With Hypersmooth Boost, you really don't need a gimbal anymore, as long as the chest mount straps are on TIGHT. Just have to get the angle right. I prefer the chest mount, too. For me it's about a 45-degree angle. Once you have the angle dialed in, you can etch a mark on your mount lined up with the end of those little grooves on the mounting arms of the GoPro itself so that you can always have it angled perfectly.

Rode it a handful of times last Friday. It’s a really perfect beginner flow trail and sunrise was way overdue for something like this. Perfect warmup and final cruise for the experienced rider, perfect learning environment for the beginner rider. Flat in some spots for sure but that allows it to traverse to some really cool terrain over towards Apache.
