I thought you should know that I contacted Fulaim and told them about the problem and they are sending me a new X5 complete set, even though I bought it over 6 months ago. They offered me the new one without me even asking for it, which was the right thing to do. That tells me that they stand behind their product and have good customer service. Hopefully the new one won't have that problem with either of the internal recordings.

@@DannyNagymusic I contacted them through the Fulaim company page on Amazon. They never asked for the bad one. Just sent out a new one within a day. I ended up getting the new set within 4 days of first contacting them. Both of the new transmitters have perfect internal recordings now. I made 30-minute long tests on both and by the end they were off by only 1 frame each, the same on both. They work great now. I think they were quick to send out new ones because I think they probably know this is an issue with some of their units. Why else would they not even ask to return the bad ones. So get yourself your free new set. Can't beat their superb customer service. They also have a website if you would rather contact them that way.

After seeing your video, I decided to test the sync of the internal recording of both my Fulaim X5 transmitters against the camera recording. I was lucky with my Left transmitter. It recorded for 30 minutes straight and never lost sync with my camera. BUT... my Right transmitter kept losing about 6-8 frames every couple of minutes for the same 30-minute test. It never stopped recording but it kept skipping frames. I repeated the test with both transmitters a few times. Each time the Left one performed perfectly while the Right one kept skipping. It seems that this is a quality control issue at the Fulaim factory. We at least know that it is possible for the recording to work since I have one transmitter that records properly, so it must be a quality control issue.

Thanks! I used to have a very heavy exercise routine. Now-days, I mainly so sessions. I used to learn a lot of solos from different instrument players leaning different techniques. I had a lot of guitar teachers and I was able to see things from different angles. With Fuze we were working developing my sound and using microtones when I was playing fretless. With Mick Goodrick, we played duos a lot. If someone sounded like someone he would stop the duo and say that we already have a person sounding like that. He once stopped a duo with this really good modern jazz player because he used too many Metheny licks.

@@DannyNagymusic i saw it in an old Down Beat magazine a Jazz teacher was explaining. my jazz teacher didn't like it. he said the solos of Parker and Gillespie were better cause you learn the music as well as how to pick it.

@@fleet4fingers I gotcha. I think there are a lot of aspects for practicing. Some are for strengthening technique some are for developing melody writing and soloing/ developing a vocabulary. I experienced that if one spent too much time learning other people’s licks then it’s more like playing licks and not truly improvising. It is part of growing to learn what others did but it’s an other thing to see how you can make it yours. I have gotten a lot of insight about these from a lot of teachers when I was a student at Berklee. I could talk about it for a while lol Thanks for viewing the short, more will come.
