A little late to the party here, so maybe you've discovered this rule recently, but I noticed when you used Nth Metal where it tells you to look at the top card of your deck, if you had no deck (i.e. all cards were in hand or discard pile), you were just not looking at a card. However, and this was confirmed by the Cryptozoic staff, you would still shuffle your discard pile to provide you with a deck anytime you "draw, reveal, or look at" a card from your deck 😁

If you want to slay a monster, can your enemy use a modifier to sabotage your roll?

Amazing. This game totally lived up to the hype. I think this may be the best eppisode yet. I got to meet Steve at gencon last year at gencon. He's such a great guy. I'm so happy you got to play with him. I can't say i've ever interacted with Kyle before. But I truly appreciate his work. He's such a critical part of the game. Good luck to the next guests trying to follow up this act. 😂

For sure I am getting at least 3 Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. He is one of my favorite characters and his ability ain’t half bad.

Love the discussion. But I do have a small problem. You guys keep talking about Jasmine bouncing your own characters back. But that assumes you have them exerted. I feel like you would play her first. Then quest with your board. So opponents lose tempo, but you don't. If you want to go super combo heavy, you then play a whole new world and force them to discard all those characters you just bounced. It could be a really good swing In your favor If you can pull it off.

Oh I can tell this game is gonna be fun. I can’t wait for this Friday.

I'm just throwing it out that Just In Time was actually the first playmat that was not a character card art. Does it matter? No. But as a playmat connoisseur, I felt the need to add that.🙃

Nice playthrough gentlemen. I am looking at this game as compared to Champions. Right now I think Champions is better thematically,but Legendary seems easier to play.

King making is unavoidable in a game like this. It can be an issue in board games as well. But with TCGs, it's built into the structure of the game.
