I have moved my fern. Hopefully it will grow better but our temperatures are above 30 C plus during summers. My fern has brown leaves and not only on the tips.

Do not use hydrogen peroxide to water long term. It kills the good bacteria in the soil as well.

This is super helpful! I think my Osaka fern needs better drainage and more moisture in the air. I am in northern United States, and in the winter, very low humidity. Thank you so much!

The ones I got bite, bro. I had no idea why i was getting so many bugbites, and why i am so itchy all the time (beyond winter itchyness) I was desperate with why my stromanthe was growing beautifully new shoots everywhere, but the leaves were crispy in many spots... Searched it and almost immediately found this. Depression is already so hard and now even my plants suffering beyond my neglectful watering schedule

Well out of topic yes, but couldn't stop myself mentioning this, you are so adorable so cute, I wish you are single, you know what it is a stereotype that men like sexy and vulnerable girls yes we do, but for 1 night but for life we love the types you are. What I said is about real MEN not everyone who is holding a penis is a man. Loved you girl ❤❤❤

My Schlefflera has a heavy infestation, and I'm struggling to get rid of it. I'm currently trying to treat it by dousing it every now and then and spraying it. I'll try to watch out, maybe I can find these pesticide sticks. I really wish keeping plants wasn't such a pain. I would like to commit to it as a hobby, but I'd rather not if just one plant is so high maintenance. Furthermore, I'm only investing so much into this one since it's almost 10 years old and kept in the family. Before it had gnats which fortunately disappeared as I moved the plant outside, however then this nasty thrips infestation began...

@YY-Bri29 күн бұрын
They are part of an eco system, very different from the artificial environment in your home. How do thrips survive in the wild? There are hundreds of different kinds of predators feeding on thrips.

The product Substral Celaflor that you recommend is very toxic. According to the website where you buy them: Contains 2-Phenyl-2-Hexenenitril8. May produce an allergic reaction. To avoid risks to human health and the environment, comply with the instructions for use. Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Very toxic to aquatic life.

I've kept one for 10 years now. I keep it off to the side of a giant window and water twice a week. It is crawling wherever it can find support, growing long shoots all the way to the ceiling toward the window, and I wonder if I should trim them or just let them do what they want? The longest is around 12 feet long now and has not grown any leaves yet, and since these tendrils have grown so long I see some browning on the bottom layers, so it might be time to replant and divide it, or prune. I'm not sure which would be better. Any advice? I love to see how long these tendrils can get! This plant loves to explore the room. It sometimes grows toward my desk and taps me on the shoulder (I'm not kidding they grow so fast they seem to have a personality) and I've had to trim it back many times.

You method is very bad. Poisoning the plants and the environment and causing the insects to become resistant to chemicals. You definitely should check more nature-friendly solutions.

Can it be ant other sticks if I do not have the bamboo stick
@TheOldHaneyPlace.12 күн бұрын
No, bamboo is the only solid and straight object that could possibly be used to tie up leaves.
