2 were delivered May 20, 2023 @ 4 pm and at 4 pm on May 23, 2023 I had already captured & extinguished 24 total, 16 males & 8 females, in Nawth Central Florida where here in the rural area if you DON'T have a carport to in close your vehicle you better do something, they got so bad the birds couldn't get to the bird feeder because of the tree rats, I found it was better for me to NOT let more than 3 get in there at a time because they were putting up such a fuss I didn't want that to scare off the others. NOW, since those that hung out closer to the house have been removed I think I'm going to move the cages further out to capture the ones further out, the red tailed hawks & I are now on a 1st name basis

Awesome, just exactly what I need. I couldn't really figure it all out. And the directions were crap. I thought I had to set something. Thanks for posting. The other videos weren't as informative. Do u show releasing them?

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I made another video showing how I release them. It’s Part 2.

Catch and release doesn’t work they WILL come back to your yard- where all their squirrels relatives are. They WILL travel miles- even to the next town!

In my area it is illegal to move or relocate wild animals, might check for your area. However it would be halarious if you just took a video of yourself commiting a crime... You release them on to your neighbors property, nice I see what you did there..

Actually I released them at a nearby park, not my neighbors. That wouldn’t be cool.

Catch and release, what the hell for? What's the point ?

They definitely come back the WILL... even if dropped miles away. He is releasing and catching the same ones and their children. Do your squirrel research. Take them to the next town- they WILL be back. They can live longer than 30 years and have lots of babies- more than once a year!

Works so well. 17 caught so far. Sunflower seeds work best for me. Will keep using this as long as these rodents keep destroying my property.

Glad to hear that it’s working for you. Sunflower seeds are definitely a favorite.

Not sure if you’re asking a question or making a statement, but the cost of the Squirrelinator is about $75 on Amazon (Rugged Ranch SQRTO Squirrelinator Trap CatchMor Live Animal 2 Door Metal Cage www.amazon.com/dp/B0046VJ8RU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_47RTYK3PNDKMWVC7KG0Z). That’s a lot less than the $200+ I had to pay when the squirrels chewed holes in the gas line of my truck or the damaged they caused chewing holes in other places around the house.

These traps don't work. Save your money.
@MrKevinRoderick3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... I’m curious why you would say that. I know they work because I have used them with great success. In fact they worked so well that I bought a second trap to use in the backyard. I have caught as many as 4 squirrels in one trap at a time and 8 in one day. So you comment that “these traps don’t work” is puzzling.

I've caught over 200 in my backyard so far. I used to release them until I bought a second Squirrelinator with a plastic basin. Now I give them swimming lessons. They're not very good at it. I take the dead squirrels to a nearby field to feed the hawks and coyotes.

Thanks for posting this!!! I was on the fence about this product. I bought the easy set havahart trap but it’s been 3 days and they still don’t go near it and we have an army of these evil critters. We have several pecan trees on our property. How long did it take before your trap worked?
@MrKevinRoderick3 жыл бұрын
It worked worked the first day I placed it out. Keep in mind that squirrels tend to frequent my area early in the morning so it nay take a day or so before they return. It also helps to place some food outside the trap and in the tunnels with a big stash inside. Good luck.

@@MrKevinRoderick Thanks Kevin....had mine now for about a week. No luck so far. We get ours squirrels in the morning and throughout the day and again in the evening. Doing as you suggested. Just thinking it's taking time for them to get used to it and or my scent on it. Will update.

Use thick gloves to protect your hands from potential squirrel bites while operating the clamps. I concur. Great product! Thanks for posting.

I almost bought the A-18, which was going to be a HUGE investment. I'll go with the squirrelinator instead. Thanks!! (Although if you would like to part with the A24, I'd work something out with ya.) :) I'm curious, but will order the squirrelinator in the meantime.

Those guys really take off. Thanks for sharing... I have a hard time killing animals... 20 years in the Marines and after realizing how life is so short.
@MrKevinRoderick5 жыл бұрын
Bob C First, thank you for your service. Greatly appreciated. I have worked as a contractor for the Marine Corps for the past 10 years. Second, Yes they shoot out of the cage. If you have a squirrel problem this really works. I’ve already relocated 70-80 this year. Tip, save the box it came in and it makes it a lot easier to transport in your vehicle (no squirrel dropping, etc), plus they settle down and aren’t so crazy in the cage. Good luck, Kevin

Great review! What did you use for bait?
@MrKevinRoderick5 жыл бұрын
Luis Gomez Thank you for watching the video. Glad it was helpful. You can use just about any type of food that squirrels like, but I used a mix of sunflower seeds, peanuts, corn, another bird food seeds, etc. I kept the food in an empty plastic milk jug near where I put the trap and each time I reset the trap I would simply sprinkle a small pile in the center of the cage and a few treats/kernels by each entrance. From March through Sept this year I trapped and removed over 100 squirrels. I have only seen 2 in my yard since then. I call that a success. I will likely have to start back up in the Spring, but it certainly made a dent in the local rodent population. Let me know if you have any other questions. Merry Christmas.
