PagParts TRX900, been sitting on my shelf but much more turbo than the stock motor can handle. Vortex xl is old technology and this new turbo will fully use the stock motor to its capabilities and im going to prove/show that it can take it no issue and raise the bar higher than we previously thought these cars could handle for a daily

@Forbidden.s3 my car has a built motor but it's my daily so I don't need it to be a max effort setup. Mid-5s 60-130 is probably as fast as it need to be in an attempt to preserve the transmission. Makes me wonder if this turbo, the Typhoon or any one of another of the many options would be best. I currently have a G25-660...

@@brazibeatz5187 no this turbo is to be used for the stock motors full potential, I have a even bigger turbo that I will be using when I decided to build this motor but not necessary at all to build it for this power level still. S3/R’s engine can handle way more than a standard GTI/A3 motor

@@Forbidden.s3hey man correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the bottom ends are the same in the GTI as the S3 but the heads are what is different

@ nope, they opened the block and they are completely different bottom end and top, big company did a side by side comparison and the S3/R block is built differently. They did it exactly to prove if there was a difference or not and there is a big difference between them. Even piston heads and compression ratio is different. GTI/A3 motor is 9.6:1 and S3/R is 9.3:1 . So its literally out there with photos but if you still like to believe the old myth be my guest. The entire long block housing is built differently not just the head. Ive been working and building these cars for 5 years now, dont need to spew false information

@ wasn’t a video, it was a post with photos of each part of the block compared, cams, everything. The s3 has bigger cams, bigger everything, they are totally not the same engine. I wish I could remember the post but I literally forgot the company who posted it up. Its on instagram but cant find it for the life of me.

Dude you are so weird. Ive never hated on you here ive complemented your build and asked questions. I saw bmp repost your s3 on isnta and recognized it. I clicked your most recent cc post and commented on it that i miss believed you were in texas because BMP tuning reposted you and they have a dallas location i didnt realize they had multiple. You then proceeded to act so strange when i didnt diss you or anything. You need to drop the ego and stop blowing up on people who arent hating on you and i find it even more strange you immidately blocked me. Good luck on future builds unsubbed. originally yes, I did get custom tune for it later but if you use 400-500cc nozzle you will be fine for Wmi. I think I used 425cc nozzle and was running the 100 octane file on 91 pump and was fine but I also sent data logs to make sure I was good.

@@miata7478 I have a hood dump now. you cant hear anything 😂 I didnt buy this for sound, i bought it because it flows the most airflow out of any intake which I need for performance. Its massive its going to sound loud with the intake sound. I dont think theres anytbing about this intake that says its quiet lol

@@miata7478 i just explained it, largest volumetric volume out of any intake, high quality thick real CAD design pieces they designed. Can be ran both enclosed snd open and again highest flowing intake out there so why would one not want that? Maybe buy things cause their cute but theres also a group of people who do scientific research on these parts and have them all ranked and CTS ranked at the highest flowing intake so why wouldn’t want to buy the best. Or you can pay more for IE’s intake that literally has been shown to choke out on high HP builds and lower ranked on flow rate

@@_Wheysted_ well convience causes oil leaks and boost leaks still and even more so than people assume and waste money buy fancy aftermarket pcv systems just to fail worse than stock. Oem pcv fittings and system will always be superior in long term reliability of the vehicle in my 7 years on working on these cars. Ive had multiple already all of them leaked, had friends spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on fancy catch can systems just to sell them and put them back to stock pcv after tons of oil loss almost resulting in engine failure

what went wrong with the original m500 turbo which caused a turbo rebuild? was looking at the mabo m500 and am thinking otherwise now. Thanks in advance

wastegate arm pin got fucked twice. that allowed the wastegate flap to move side to side extremely easily and massively to create a constant boost leak. We think the housing were defected that kept allowing the ring pin to keep popping out of socket cause even after repair it did it again.

I just ordered this intake after having their open one for over a year now. I'm hoping to drop my iats a little. Do you know if this helps a good amount? I keep reading that open intakes make your iats higher versus lower for a closed intake.

Stage one gets you 400? I am thinking of tuning ECU and TCU to stage 1 and small supporting mods
