Did you figure out how to center the laser? And how did it perform on other materials?

The thumb drive had the software on it for the computer. I search "Daja Engraver" on google play store on my phone for the app.

Question, when I hook up my vacuum to the separator I get a high pitch sound out of the motor. Is my craftsman 5.25 hp to much.

One more thing. Regarding the stand. Can't you just turn the saw around so the cord bracket is on the same side as the cord? Or is the stand offset
@h4woodworks612
@h4woodworks612 9 ай бұрын
Thats possible, it's just something I would have to reset up alignment wise. That would be more of an inconvenience than my alternate cord management solution right now. Besides not sure it the cord bracket the stand comes with is big enough to support the saws cord either.

Great job Randy. Thanks for taking the time to do this video for us. I've watched probably 20 videos on this saw as I'm contemplating getting one tomorrow. You still gave a different perspective. They have the 12 inch for $400 and the 10 for $300 at Menards. Then they'll refund you 11 back. I'm going to get the 10 inch. I'm going to build a deck for my son in North Carolina. Do a privacy fence and a shed here at my house in the spring. I am by no means a professional. I'm going to get that dust collection thing you're recommending too, I've seen that mentioned in a couple other videos. I like your setup with the stand. Thanks for filling Us in on that too.

Did you have any problem with it stopping on acrylic blanks? Had a larger lathe, but just want to do occasional pens only. looking at the Wen. No bowls or legs.

Great video. It is such a pleasure to learn what others do when they learn how to talk & think at the same time. It is really rude when they make a video, turn the microphone on, but never say a word to explain what & how. Totally uninviting. Thanks for all the details you gave with the techniques and measurements. I just finished a planter box for my wife, so I will see if she wants a trellis! keep the videos coming. 😃

Thank you, I had not seen a video on how to make one. I've made some larger ones for my wife but out of treated wood and not nearly as professional looking as yours. You might one to make a second video actually showing you cutting the cedar and assembling it together. Just a thought.

I made a cart using the design from #JohnBuildsIt. It uses PVC pipe that sits on top of the casters on my Ridgid 12-gal vacuum. I also use the Dustopper for mine. I love the low profile and it does the job. New subscriber here. I'll be checking out the rest of your videos soon.
