Dear god this was intense to watch absolutely scary in my eyes that poor woman, this was hard to watch but somewhat an eye opener you can't always trust the cares looking after our loved ones... Absolutely amazing short, well done to everyone involved in this production.

Although I'm aware this movie has a deep meaning attached to it, but at the same time so very dull, drab and monotonous.........Sheeesh......had to stick matchsticks in my eyes to help stay awake. Oh and the only thing of horror was those "floorboards". I was absolutely terrified from those floorboards. Would never want those things in my house :)

My husband’s aunt’s mother was in a care home due to advanced Alzheimer’s among other health problems during the pandemic so his aunt was not allowed to visit her. The poor, elderly woman stopped eating & drinking and the care home “nurses” just said “oh well” and let her be. A few weeks later she’s in hospital severely dehydrated, underweight, bedsores, her adult diaper hadn’t been changed in 9-13 days so the infection from that alone got into her bloodstream and long story short she died of neglect. Her fecal matter and urine caused maggots to eat away at her bottom. What a gruesome way to let someone die. This wasn’t a state run home either. This was supposed to be a first class, incredibly costly establishment. However, due to the pandemic no one was allowed to visit and check on their loved ones so the staff didn’t do their jobs. I’m so mad and sad that the elderly are mistreated.

My God, that is truly awful and heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your husband's aunts loss and the entire family. I worked in nursing homes well into my 20's. When I was about 19, I worked 2nd shift at the front desk of an upscale senior home. I had to report a nurse there for hitting an elderly man. I don't know if she just didn't notice me there or didn't care. They fired that nurse the next day but I've never forgotten about it. I can only imagine how many more do things like that one did when others aren't around. Especially working night shifts. I'm in my 40s now and my family knows I will never stick my parents, my husband's parents, and I don't ever want to be out into any home of any kind because of that experience.

The video description claims that this is a "film," but it's more a very slow-paced montage of standard creepy images and standard creepy music. A good learning project, I suppose, but there's no story whatsoever, nor is it "psychological" or even remotely "horror."
@sabrinalounis51714 жыл бұрын
This horror film is in fact simply the true. Uggly life why should WE put our beloved parents grand parents Into institutions where they will be propebly abused and treated badly and die in an endless suffering and loneliness when WE Can take Care of them like they took Care of us when WE were little children they deserve to die in a warm house among their grandchildren

It seems this lady was going back to the abandoned care home where she once stayed. And is having flashbacks on what she really went through on their.
@briandecker33803 жыл бұрын
But if she traveled to her former care home, now abandoned, why is she dressed in a housecoat and slippers? Her attire suggests she lives in the home now -- which is not plausible, since it was abandoned long ago.
@trishazechel84023 жыл бұрын
@@briandecker3380 It has to do with the sub-concision of the mind. Sometimes people just can't let go where their was once, probably a safe haven..in this case this woman.

This made me so sad...It broke my heart because I know that there are so many helpless elderly out there that go through that kind of abuse at the hands of people entrusted to care for them...It really hit hard for me....I'm left feeling even more depressed than I already am and in tears.....

Soooo Beautiful! I think everyones take on it is different. I see her as an old woman living in a big fancy house that is now foreign to her...some form of abandonment...maybe it was once her big fancy home or maybe her spirit is living amongst the ruins of this old wreckage, it could also be dementia. In any form it is terrifying to get old and also to be left lonely and or helpless! Great movie

Could be interpreted as her being the person in care or the carer who was not so kind and now lives eternity in the place where she tormented others.

Excellent film about the often terrifying aspects of Dementia; isolation, helplessness, loss of self, fear, confusion, hopelessness, fragmented memories, AND SOMETIMES the neglect/abuse they must endure, when receiving "CARE". Sadly, this film is a very accurate depiction some of our aged population face everyday.

I think it relied a little too much on the use of stills for decay and scary moments. Sound and editing were good overall, but it lost its level of "scary", which is implied with the award.
