This gift can be so powerful to build and tear down.. i can see that if a person who views God as an angry God instead of the redemptive loving God who is just in His ways.. i wonder can the discernment gift get skewed if that person was hurt or belief system somehow got skewed due to hurt or pain over time and experiences if not cared for?

56:44 my counselor has me do affirmations one of them is: " I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am loved just as I am. My ______ does not define me, it is a challenge that I face with the strength God provides. God loves me just as and where I am."

Splagchnizomai- I find it interesting that in each of the New Testament examples, the person experiencing the gut emotion went against what was seen as culturally normal/acceptable. A man running, forgiving debts, and helping an person seen as an enemy.
