Hey, I have a question : if I play along with the solo you play at the beginning, I find it sounds better if I play minor 7 chords instead of dominant 7 chords... is that normal ?

I remember coming across these videos when I first got started, and really enjoyed playing through the solos. Then I went off and learned scales and all kinds of complicated stuff, but then realized I couldn’t really phrase properly. Coming back to these has really helped me to understand about simple but effective phrasing. Love the channel. Fellow Scouser out in Boston.

Happy New year Marc. is that a PRS guitar you are playing in the first video? which PRS model?
@MarcGuitarVideos10 күн бұрын
Happy New Year to you also. Yes, it's a US Core Custom 24. It's the 25th edition (i.e. 2010). I love it.

😆 So I'd sliced it the day before filming, and I asked my wife to help put a dressing on that would protect it, but not be too obvious. This is what she did. Couldn't be more obvious! Anyways, it's healing, will just take a while thanks

Let's be honest, all ya need to play blues is to know how to mix the major and minor pentatonic scales...

Thank you! That's such a kind comment and I'm pleased you liked the lesson
The same and the same on the the first pattern of the pentatonic. SO LIMITED and monotonous. Those are almost the same licks from the original song!! Where’s the improvising???

Good demo, slow play makes easier for us ear players to learn. How about a "Midnight Blues" version in same format?

I thought that here is just the thhing I have been searching for and I was wrong. Your hand and fingers are all over the place and when you are supposed to be showing me how to do it your right hand is all over the place and not much can be learned. Ask a trained teacher how to prepare a lesson and present it.
