Jim this thing is the best. You have inspired me to build one. Where did you source the front Arms?

I’m working on a ‘56 Pontiac with this type of drag link.I definitely have excessive play where the pitman arm meets the drag link.How can I tell if my wear is in the drag link parts or the pitman arm ball?

The 23" across that you mention, where are your measurements being taken from? Are you measuring from the outside edge of the frame on each side? Also, what are you cutting away to reduce the length of that crossmember you took the rivets out of? I don't have a Model A frame in front of me to view, but that end on each side of that metal crossmember looks to be curved. If so, where will you make your cuts to reduce the overall size correctly? I have a 1925 roadster with the turtle deck that I want to keep. If I put on a Model Frame beneath it, will I have to make any modifications to keep that turtle deck with the body of the car? Nice video and I will be looking to see if you have more, as well. Thanks.

Probably depends on the hardness of the balsa.

Bit annoying having to reach for the knife after using your laser cutter, but it certainly does a good job.

Hey brother. What springer front end fit on there? Did you change the stem or neck or neck bearings? I am in the process of building my first CB. Thank you

Excellent, but it would had been great if you would have shown us the process with the steps.

Oh. You have those horrible mounts from Speedway. They have no lateral supposed like the originals or like better modern repros. I started with those but bit the bullet and bought better. The OD is different as well with the other type/original mounts. Hoping you continue on this build. Doing a survivor RPU that will be similar but on 3” Z’d Model A frame with stock width.

Thank you. I have a 50’ F1 and this is a big part of why there’s so much play in my steering.

Jim, care to share how you mounted the pipe threader to the bead roller?
@jimmcclellan19113 жыл бұрын
Sure. One of the thread dies was a slip fit over the bead roller drive rod. I simply welded it on the rod. The threader tool will come off but the die is permanent.

Where did you get the radiator from ? Looks good
@jimmcclellan19114 жыл бұрын
An eBay seller called Stage2racing. I am very happy with the way it’s built. Hopefully it will cool as it should.

Jim, the build is coming along nicely. I appreciate you showing the little tips and tricks you’ve used when fabricating parts or even drilling the engine mount holes. Nice recovery by adding those tubes in under the front motor mounts.
@jimmcclellan19114 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment and watching. The tubes were actually planned from the beginning. Fortunately, I caught my mistake before I had them welded in place. Usually I figure out those mistakes after they are permanent!
