Bendix and Honeywell are defense contractors that had electronics divisions so it made sense they made computers too. It wasn’t that big of a jump

This is why an old laptop or PC with a Hard disk would start working again after a bit of kinetic maintenance (a punch or hit of some description)

Hilarious yet poignant. This video still gives me the giggles. When I was in college, I remember being able to cause real time performance degradation of a 4 drive raid array by knocking loudly on the side of my PC case. Back then, rubber mounts didn't really exist and we were mounting hard drives with rubber bands to reduce vibration.

I mean, have you ever had to do hard work while being shouted at? Ofc performance suffers, can't blame the poor disks for that. :(

Why this feels like some piece of lost media you would find on an horror game where civilization got wiped by datacenters that got fed up with all the abuse

1:09 a sign of the times for sure haha. Not many people claim something isn't special effects like he did here. Fun fact, I think it was Dell but there was a certain frequency Janet Jackson could sing that if you played the video loud enough you could crash or wipe your computer and computers nearby that it could effect. All from a Janet Jackson somg
