When you get emotional over a sad song, that just means that you have a good heart.

Now we need a great female singer, like a Pat Benatar to answer this song on a flip side in the same slow style. It would be a smash!

The Seekers were an extremely boring band, especially Judith, and their songs were so depressing you could get suicidal just listening to them, but don't worry, they've gone for good, I am pleased to say, thankfully there is plenty of other good bands and singers that you can listen to,

The White radio stations wouldn't play them at first because the said they sounded Black. ,... It was Black Radio Air play who started playing them and made them Famous... The got their name because they were playing black clubsand one brother hollered out " YOU GUYS SOUND RIGHTEOUS!!!! "and that's how they got the name....

That big instrument is a bass.(pronounced "base" ). It's what was used to hold the lower register of a song, before the invention of the electric bass. 😊

the seekers came up with some interesting songs , wonderful beautiful of course, but often they have an unusual buildup arrangement . in this one they start super straight and low in cord then from 2nd line they immediately switch it up with Judith totally wonderfully blowing the guys away, but they stay in there with the backup sound really well.

This song is a masterpiece of the soul. The Folk Era at its Best. Brings me to tears every time I hear it. Might I suggest Mary Fahl, "October Project" 1993. It will blow your minds. Check it out. You wont regret it. Listen to the whole album. You'll see.

I have seen the official music video at least 100 times, but I've seen this live version twice that for sure. I find the live version just has that effect where it really expresses such emotion, and naturally we respond to that. It still gives me goosebumps.

I’m a 70-year-old goofy white lady so I hope I don’t offend you when I say - you are an absolutely beautiful woman and I love that charming little gap in your teeth! It’s cute and adds something to your great looks. Anyway, Stevie got his first guitar at age 8, and the rest is history. He never learned to read music, but that didn’t hold him back. He was still a teenager when the great B.B. King took him under his wing. Stevie usually practiced 5-6 hours a day and played gigs at night. He was absolutely driven. Everyone who encountered him said he was the kindest, most humble human being. The sad thing is he died at age 35 in a helicopter crash leaving a concert venue. We lost him way too soon, but we do have the gift of recordings and videos to enjoy. He was the greatest blues guitarist to ever live.
