I'm surprised that I never heard this before. Did this make it to the US charts?

Unfortunately B.A. Robertson never quite made the US Charts, but did a lot of writing and co-writing including Mike Rutherford for the big smash hit ‘The Living Years’ which topped the Billboard Top 100 in 1990.

My family lived in London for a few years starting in 1970 to 1975. These were the best years possible to live in London. All those wonderful comedians both on the telly and on stage will never be forgotten. Thanks to videos, they will continue to live on. I go back to London still today, but will never see or hear from the likes of those of yesteryear.

I first saw Frankie Howerd when I was 15 years old and living in Berengaria Village, Limassol, Cyprus. He walked past our house on Jacaranda Drive before performing his show that evening. I have always regretted not having the courage to go up and speak to him, and inviting him in for a cup of tea.

I remember playing this on my BBC Radio Oxford show back in '71. Very, very, very funny! And guess what? I was told off for playing it by the head newscaster on duty - the late Gordon Kitchen. "Peanutz, this is a family show and we don't want any of that!!!!!". Amazing. Recently on Radio1, I heard the 'F' word in a song - - during the daytime!!! Jeeeezzz, how standards have dropped at the Beeb. Thank you for giving me another chuckle again, and for uploading! John "Peanutz" Koenig

this was ALKSO banned by the BBC, like the original. "look at the size of that hole" was apparently the line that really sealed it's fate. In those days, the beeb had no sense of humour.

@@leeberry4388 I think what's changed is that in 1971 the BBC was very strict on sexual jokes and innuendo. Now, their programmes are full of sex and innuendo, but the strict ban is on anything that they perceive to be racist, sexist, non-PC etc.
