Belly dancing has changed a big deal and took a far away turn from the Middle Eastern where belly dancing has originated. It has become belly shaking and belly jumping, it’s not bad just different

it definitely has evolved. i think as long as we have our students continue to study the roots and understand that first before they beginto fuse. then that is the best way to understand and preserve the essence.

To me the song sounds very similar to the version of "Laylet Hob" performed by Omar Korshid on his album "Rhythms of the Orient" back in about 1974. Loved your performance!
